I never joined the Disney Movie Club but lately I've been picking up DMC Blu-Rays for only around $5 Canadian each at Value Village (the thrift store chain also known as Savers in many American states). Maybe I'm just lucky to live near a Value Village store to which a local Disney Movie Club member is donating a lot of movies on Blu-Ray.
I need a lot of movies and tried over and over to join but the won't let me join the last 2 years they told me I owed them money from the past. I wish i could have someone order for me
Wow, thank you so much! You're right. We're still very small potatoes, and the revenue isn't much. But I still really appreciate any support. Thanks so much for the kind words. Hope you have a great day!
Treasure Island (Blu-ray exclusive yellow spine) is already sold out. So eBay prices for that will for sure skyrocket now. Edit: Looks like these are sold out, too: The Parent Trap 1998 The Black Hole George of the Jungle D2: The Mighty Ducks
I had a feeling that may be what was happening when certain movies weren’t allowed to have silver slipcovers and steelbooks like Lilo and Stitch. Also, the Disney Stores shutting down didn’t help either and it does make me sad. Sony is apparently gonna get the catalog and I hope we get Lilo and Stitch and other movies like Con Air and maybe some shows like Buffy and Angel since they’re technically under the Disney umbrella. I don’t buy the “aspect ratio” excuse for why we haven’t gotten a blu ray of Buffy. There are shows older than that on blu ray like Star Trek: The Original Series, Doctor Who and others and they don’t give that excuse for them. The belief is someone from Buffy is holding out and refusing to sign a contract because they feel they deserve more money than the rest of the Buffy cast. It’s not Sarah Michelle Gellar either. Good video and ty very much for what you do. Keep the great content coming please!
Thanks so much for the kind words. I really appreciate the comment and the support! I completely forgot to talk about the recent releases of their animated classics Disney had been doing. I'll be really disappointed I if the line of 4Ks like Cinderella and Snow White doesn't continue.
@@FilmsByColor same. I’m so torn what to actually order right now. I’d just finished my Pixar and like two short of my Disney animated canon films and was looking forward to push everything over the year..
I thought about picking up some of the live action exclusives from eBay like Old Yeller, Pollyanna and Mighty Joe Young to upgrade from DVD. I wish more titles like Homeward Bound, Iron Will and The Shaggy D.A. would've been released, but most live action films besides the staples are forgotten.
Yeah it's a shame. I was hoping to pick up some of the live action adaptations I missed out on as a kid like Treasure Island and 20,000 Leagues, but it looks like those are both already sold out unfortunately
Haha, sorry. I guess I meant MCU and Pixar. I don't know why I said Star Wars. Maybe I had The Mandalorian on my mind, because they just released season 1 and 2
The big question is going to be what Disney is going to give Sony to release. To make it worth it for Sony, it has to be material that people want. If that includes older films, I'd hope so.
Thanks for the heads up. Nice STAND OUT shirt! haha Also, Donald>>>> Mickey. However, between Bugs and Daffy, it's tougher. Are you a Duck or Rabbit Season guy? Hope you and your family are having a nice week, DJ. God bless you!
