Yeah, I wish I had! I kept forgetting that they had them because I’m used to bikes with barely anything other than fuel injection and ABS lolol

I preferred the r1250gs overall for several reasons really. This has more power and handles better, but the GS is better in pretty much every other way. It falls into a corner easily because of the motor weight distribution, rides like a dream, has much more torque down low, can be used off road, shaft drive, things like that. It’s hard to describe until you ride one. It’s a unique experience unto itself.

@@BlackRiverRiderI am about to get the XR or GS but I can't make up my mind. I have ridden both bikes and I agree the r1250gs is a overall masterpiece. There's a reason it's by far the best sold bike in Europe. I also agree that torque is more fun than horsepower in most situations. The XR on the other hand really made my heart pump faster in a way the GS will never do. XR is also a bit more eye-catching since everyone has a GS in my city (Amsterdam). I am not interested at all in off-road riding. Maybe the GS is a bit to smooth and easy to ride on the road if that makes any sense.. Btw.. I am only riding for fun with nice weather. Not planning on doing any daily commuting since I already have a Vespa GTS 300 for that. As you can tell.. Still can't make up my mind hahah

If it’s for pure fun the XR is the way to go for sure. GS is great but it doesn’t have the smile factor that the XR does. Best to go with what gives you the most joy. Riding Motorcycles is about what makes your heart sing most importantly and not what is objectively better.
