Taylor...you are an absolute joy to watch. I did a lot of backpacking in the White Mountains back in the day and have such wonderful memories which you help me to remember through your videos. Your diet of Pepsi and Snickers crack me up. Your outlook on life is inspirational and you take everything in stride and look for the silver lining no matter what. Although we have not met I feel like I have known you for a long time. I am no longer able to hike but my twin 20 year boys are starting to get into it and will be up in the Whites this summer to do Mt Washington and others. I would love to share a cold beverage and swap stories about the Whites and would love to learn about the AT. Thank you for sharing and I hope our paths will cross some day. God bless...
Always fun to hear from virtual friends. I think a fun game is to try and guess what another person you know a little is going to answer to these types of questions. Good job!
Liked it when you corrected yourself from "If I go thru hiking again" to "WHEN I go thru hiking again". I would like to see a video of your fish tanks. I used to have lots of them, and during a decade of many moves and uncertainty of living locations, I have resisted setting any up. I miss having them. I'm allergic to most animals so fish tanks are my thing.
Loved this, Taylor! Greg's fav is buffalo chicken (wings) too! Good to get to know you better here. We're working on this video too (were tagged by Hikaholics)! -- Chica
Your Awesome...Period....I'm just getting into hiking now..Im from North Attleboro Massachusetts and have been up to N.H many times but Maine is definitely my favorite only bc I feel you get a little of both worlds...Coastal life and Mountains.. Have you ever been to Booth Bay Harbor or Camdon Maine Harbor..or Bar Harbor...all so beautiful to the max....anyways so nice to learn more about you in this vid..your so down to earth..nice to see...Well carry on little Dudette...and ill watch more vids of you hiking so I can learn more..thank you
Excellent video.... I really enjoy Welch-Dickey loop, a little hard on my Labrador in one spot. So many nice day hikes in your area. You have a well rounded life for a 25 year old. This covid-19 really sucks and it can't be over quick enough. Can't wait for more hiking video, NH is about the best spot in the world for scenic trails. Being almost 70 my big hikes are just walking around town.
been to 12 states but never been out of the county but have spint some time on the Appalachian trail plan on leaveing for the trail in the spring for A 2 or 3 week hike can/t afford A thru hike
Literally LOL at the "grocery shopping is the highlight of my quarantine". Was for me until I started doing delivery. I'm an older guy, so it seems to risky right now. You seem VERY well traveled. Yes to the "fish tank" review. Would like to see this. Don't have anymore, but once had a 40 gal breeder salt water live rock/fish tank. Lots of headaches--but beautiful. This was a good video, and I am enjoying your channel.
Great video! That's awesome y'all are doing a video like this so you're viewers know more about you. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. #GOTeamTaylor 😎
loved the video and getting to know you more! That’s a lot of fish tanks lol. NH is like the best place to be quarantined cause you’ve got so much stuff to do!! After I’m done making the squirrel 🐿 throne and super bored I will have to make one of these videos 😆
Thanks for sharing! What jumped out to me was Merrimack College and North Andover. My sister and Mom live in North Andover. I have driven by the campus more times than I can remember!
This was a fun video. Callie seemed to be nervous about somebody/something around outside. Dogs have really good instincts. Put in a veggie garden if you can. You can't lose if you don't play the lottery. Good Luck to Us All, Rick
Thank you very much for sharing these great videos on hiking and nature! I do appreciate them! Before you get your first tatoo, however, you should be aware of the fact that one can see only one third of the colour that is going to be injected in your skin. The other two thirds are stored in your lymph glands and in your liver. Consult one or two dermatologists first and if they consent - go ahead.
Barcelona? LOL I used to travel there for business. I got pick pocketed on a train there but got my wallet back. I caught the guy and I was over 6 feet tall. He was just over 5 feet tall so he gave me back my wallet and then darted off the train at the next stop. I remember the hotels had a key card that turned the lights on and you were charged for the electricity that you used!. Rambla St. A cool place with all the chalk drawings and then there is the Olympic Stadiums...I brought back a bunch of beer from there. Back then you could bring the beer on the plane. When we lived in NH, I worked by Boston and had to commute daily. It was really bad traffic on Friday nights and Monday Mornings. We had a saying back then..."Welcome to New Hampshire; Now GO HOME!" LOL Oh wow on the tattoo. I don't have any either but was considering some sort of AT tattoo if I finished the trail. So you grew up in MA but you don't have a New England accent. Interesting. Thanks for the video...John from MI
Not sure where to post this but can you advice se what sun shirt you are wearing? I saw it on one of your videos which I watch all the time but can’t remember which one.
Hi Taylor. Do you have a video giving advice on what type of workouts you should be doing to get better at hiking? I love hiking but I have to stop a lot to catch my breath. I would like to get in better hiking shape. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the fun little distraction this morning.....I really needed it. Ever try the "Blazin" sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings (the hottest one)? I did a couple of months ago. I was........uh......an "experience". Stay occupied and well! -Gareth
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker Although I live in the South with my wife who is from upstate NY she introduced me to Frank's. I had it on eggs this morning. I also like the green Tabasco.
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker I agree! Physically being able to tolerate insanely hot foods, and actually enjoying the flavor are two different things. I'll try about anything once, and then mark it off the list of foods to be curious about. Off all the hot sauces I have, I use more chipotle Tabasco than any other. It's relatively tame, and has a great smokey flavor.
Thanks Taylor. You should hike the Camino someday since you spent time in Spain. I have never skied in the Northeast but go to Montana (Big Sky) frequently and also have skied throughout Colorado. How does the Northeast compare?
I'd love to hike the camino! I skied at Big Sky last year. When we went, Big Sky was pretty icy and almost exactly like skiing in the Northeast, except the terrain was so much more open. I was bummed I went all the way there and didn't get the pow pow. But it was still an amazing time!
Hi, Taylor! Hope you are well! So I saw you got off trail, I have watched some videos where others chose to get back on trail after a few weeks even though this Covid-19 is not over. Are you planning to try again next year tentatively? Do you have a desire to do the PCT and CDT in the future?
Hey Taylor, a little off topic. I know In one of your videos you did a watch recommendation for hiking. Can you share with me what watch that was? Thank you!!
448 views in first hour. You must be popular - probably due to your "can do" attitude. Like the strongest trees, you bend when the gales blow. You roll with the punches. People with rigid schedules, expectations, demands, etc. break when the wild winds blow. Take care. Can't wait to see you on the trail again!👍
You didn't mention your trail name? I would totally vote for Nahamsha. It sounds like the name of a Hindu goddess, and since they supposedly have 330 million deities maybe it is?
I understand that the ATC changed their rules for a official thru hike. Are you going to be able to start where you left off or are you going to start at the beginning again?
Well, just let us know when you will be available for adoption - I think we can find 18 reasons why we should adopt you.🙂 Our youngest daughter is your age and was also going to Spain to study for a year as a Spanish education student. She switched her major right before she was due to depart. Did you ever meet girls from other colleges that were in Spain studying the language?
