You could have 3 children by then. No, not 5. So if they change their minds after 5 years, that's a big chunk out of your lives. Women give up too much and sometimes, there is no real reason to push for marriage. Your price goes up when you hold back and hold out.

I think long distance relationships have its own unique challenges and putting your relationship or partner also comes with its own challenges. I would be cautious about how you approach it because it appears your partner isn’t fully on board with it. I am sure you respect that.
