I been excavating for like 2 weeks now since I saw this video come out. Been very good money. I did the craftable Feiton map for first time to help maybe get some t2 mats but it was a huge waste tbh. I could have made 750gold on the AH if I just sold everything, which could be used to buy me like 15+ Moons Breath on my server. Where as all I got from my Treasure Maps were far less relics/ancient than I used to create the map to begin with. Just pointing out that the maps are not always a profit, would have been a nice disclaimer as I'm just a few upgrades from t3 and could have used the gold on moons breaths instead.
Realized after uploading I never showed the mini-game, here's a quick clip and an additional tip: clips.twitch.tv/TenuousThoughtfulJuiceHumbleLife-tcGy7XbUevHEg1PO oh and where to find the tool recipes: clips.twitch.tv/BrainyFurtiveBeanSpicyBoy-KzN6-ggUN5MGxoI3
Don gatekeeping lmao. If you use the dog, you will spend more energy but you won't get double minigame stacks. So do not use the sniffer guys... Unless you don't have time
Wait what... It goes backwards in the minigame after it hits the right side? Shit, i've failed so many times when the first one spawns right by the start lol.
golden tip and i love the way you talk calmy and not rushing through the topic you talking about. My mothertongue is not english but i understood every single word. thanks and subbed!
One thing I discovered if you're just starting to level excavating, is you go to Tooki Island. Once everybody has left, you have the entire island to yourself, with about 7 nodes spread across the island that regenerate pretty quick. So bring some Leap's essence for double XP and loads of energy pots for a long session of levelling. Burned though about 25 pots and used about 10 essences from hoarding and buying in Mari's. But after all that, I went from 20-30 in 45 minutes, cause the island will eventually kick you out. Although you'll also get an achievement for overstaying. Only caveat is you'll be at the mercy of going crazy from hearing those annoying Tookies over and over. Hope this helps!
I am glad I somewhat kept up my excavating level just because I wanted the distribution to be somewhat even - this is incredible! I severy underrated excavating! Thank you very much for this guide!
late to the party but if you want a nice place to do T3 archaeology uninterrupted, go to niheltalotep's thoughts!!! it has rocks and relic traces (T3) and virtually nothing that bothers you on half of the island
Great video, new to Lost Ark and the components are so overwhelming to figure out. Now T1 but ignored relic hunting so this was great motivation to start before I get to lost in the overwhelming newb mistakes that I think can be costly game play if you are on limited time like me.
I focused on foraging first, I got it to level 25 going for 30 so I can farm the purple mats on Punika. On NA west the price of white flowers hit 120 gold today, as I think people have finally run out of free health pots.
I watched video when i was at t1....now at t3 i just unterstood more what you said and i m starting to working thought those maps...its a bit late but its never too late Thanks for video!
Another step towards becoming the richest free to play oil prince on EU! Second positive for excavation is the fact, that you are digging holes, makes burrying bodies easier.
Hi, just wanted to share my experience with this. Have made 10+ maps and have made a loss with this method at tier 2, so probably only worth it at tier 3 and with high excavating talent.
I had heard this type of investment could be insanely profitable, but also a massive gamble. Seems to be true, either this was nerfed heavily after you posted it, or i have terrible luck. Im not getting results anywhere near what you claim to get, but im only 20-30 maps deep. Still took alot of time to get this far, i hope it becomes worth it later on...
I had the same experience as you did. My RNG was terrible and not worth the time, effort and gold that I put into it. People keep saying that this is the way but it is a gamble at best.
Hello thank u for the video, I don't speak english good but I think I understood the major part of ur video. I've never paid much attention to this profession in the game but now I'm going to get into it. Thank you.
I started focusing most my life points on excavation early on since A) i love hot and cold games and B) it looked like i needed to in order to find materials to craft my own higher end gathering tools for EVERY life skill, anyway. This is just another reason I'm glad I did as I approach level 20 with a big load of vitality potions :eyes:
Very good video talking about hidden features no one else is talking about! Can you tell us anything about increasing the speed of stronghold level upgrades? I hear mention something about structures giving boosts but there are no english sites that have that info.
most profitable/ time efficient life skill is fishing....you can just stay in one spot and fish without running around and waste time....also you can craft the T3 crystals used for upgrading gear. 60+ fishing with artifact tool makes bank.
SO....what you're saying is....one way or the other....it's a grind. You can grind mats in the dungeons for more chances to fail or you can farm nodes for a chance to reduce your number of failures. From what I can see, the biggest problem with your method via node farming is that it is limited to work energy, so unless you're paying to refill that and otherwise spending money in the game, a F2Pr may still be better off just grinding in the dungeons. I am happy to have added this knowledge and understanding of the benefits of those treasure maps, but I don't necessarily think that means it is the superior method for every player. It depends on your level of investment be it time, energy, and/or money.
Nice Tip and Video! this maps are only available to this type of life skill? Because i can see in the stronghold that we have different creatable maps!
excavating has the most work. finding, then digging. knowing its just in fixed spots makes it way easier though. like i have the herbalism spots memorized on lulliby island so this should be basically the same
Thanks for the information Don. I have a question though, do you need lvl 30 Excavating to unlock the Treasure Map recipes in your Stronghold? I only have the recipes for Treasure Map Chests but my Excavating is not yet lvl 30.
This game is also quite good for life content. This content allows you to directly and inexpensively produce many materials. Alternatively, you can earn gold by selling them. Life contents are contents that are loved a lot in Korea. This is MMO. good game
To make a punika map, it takes 564 gold if you buy material from the market. So the drop needs to be higher to be worth it. If you farm the material yourself, it may not be worth doing the treasure map, and not just sell the material instead
I just did it. It was not worth it at all. I got oreha relic x24, rare relic x23, ancient relic x31, apprentice craft kit, from this trip. Which comes out to be approx 120 gold. Maybe once in a while you gain something worth way over 564 gold, but this is really a gamble
I'm fairly certain they nerfed the maps on the NA release. I've received a substantial amount of moon's breath at T2; but they are all bound to my character. I am unable to sell them. I've done a sample size of 20 maps in the last 48 hours.
Hey bro, great vid as usual. I came across from PoE, seem to be at a similar spot as you - slogging through tier 3, 6 alts at 1k. I went with herbalism, the money is just too disgusting not to. You hit nodes with leaps essence active and get 40-50 blue flowers in a go sometimes lol. I'll try this out, the solar's should help. Are you selling your BoE upgrade materials from your alts?
You are 1346 F2P Don? If so that's amazing, I've been stuck at 1339 failing my sword like 3 times already and my gloves 5 times. Do you have any advice when it comes to when we should be using upgrade chance % increase materials and which to be the most efficient? Thanks bud, you're awesome
@@DonTheCrown Have you come across or got another excel sheet with the best points to start using the upgrade mats? including the first grind after getting to 50 etc. I'm just not sure at which point its better to risk the rolls since those +chance mats are so expensive as well.
Thanks, subscribed! very useful content. Please tell me, is there any way to restore/save work energy other than waiting or buying in Mari's shop? cuz excavating takes like 400/dig so I can barely do several a day
I'm struggling with the maps and there is excavating Bruh I'm focused on Mokoko's Quests, hidden quests, gigant's hearts, island souls, %of the places and later insignias, Unas tasks, guild quests, dungeons, abysals, raids, Rapports, getting songs and emotes, stronghold tasks ETC Its gonna be nice when I finnaly learn this
Incredible video, super straight to the point, really helpful! I wasn't exactly sure where to spend my lifeskill so that's a really good pointer! I was wondering though, are those map solo only or can you do them with other people to get even more ressources?
You can buy the recipe from one of your traders =) you got a tool chest for daily login (3 epic tools) and you get 6 epic chests for 18 or so world tree leaves ( but on my server those epic toolboxes are like 9gold each so no big deal.
The Math doesnt work , its 100 blue crystals for half an energy bar and thats currently 900+ Gold, in that space of time you dont make anywhere near enough gold to cover the cost of the potions
I think it would have been a better option to just sell the stuff at this time, make thousands of gold, wait a couple of days and rebuy for 1/3 the price. ^^ But to be honest: One Solar Breath costs 570 fragments - this is around 3,5 Chaosdungeons and gives +10% chance. This loot here gives 4%? It is not really worth the time. Just grind the hell out of chaos dungeon and buy a lot of T3 Moon Breaths at once (to not push the price to extreme). And if you are lucky you even get the boss often that gives you 10 Solar breaths additionally. ^^
1 Breath increases chance of 1,5% from 13 to 14 but only increases by 1% from 14 to 15. So decide wisely, maybe buy the upgrade material that gives you 10% increased chance.
I recommend doing a personal map, by taking a screenshot and using a program to mark the spots..Easier to remember spots and you can have your map on your phone or second monitor to follow. This of course takes some time to do, but it is worth it. There are some already made maps on the internet that can be found.
@@bryanbryan6108 hmm? I've tried to find some site with already created maps, but only found a few pictures of someone's created map. Are you saying that there is an interactive map that shows the spots? If so, do enlighten me of what I should Google.
@@winyonzentrada was hoping for an easier way but that's the way I've been doing it as well. Takes some time to move from tier 1 to tier 2 or just moving areas
A lot of things are pretty overwhelming. Apparently I have enough to get my gear lvl from 302 to 460+ but I don't know exactly what to do, and then what I should be focusing my time on after.
Different materials at tiers 2 and 3. Once you hit 460, your honing failure chances increase bit by bit. The goal is to play the tier 1 content, farm it, and hit up tier 1 islands until you hit tier 2. Then, do the same for tier 2
I'm Tier 1 and crafted the North Vern Archaeological Site Map. The dungeon near the tripod is absolutly not worth it. You got lower relicts for what you paid in the first place. The Apprentice Craft Kit was the other loot... that's around 1 gold -.-
hey mate.how are you.i wonder if i should expand my bags and card slots for more space or not needed.becuase it needs gems for opening them.and you are awesome btw.keep up the good work.
If my character is doing T3 content, but i havent leveled up this life skill at all, is it possible to do it in the T3 areas and use T3 treasure maps? or do i need to start at a lower tier continent like the other life skills?
I crafted my first 2x T2 Maps and i have to say that this isn´t worth at all^^ Rewards rare relic: 23 Ancient Relic: 22 Caldarr Relic: 29 Adept Craft Kit: 2 Moons Breath (Bound): 1 41g+14,5g+21g+3g +42g= 121,5g ----------------------- Costs: 29g Rare Relic: 175 Caldarr Relic: 35 332,5 + 21g = 353,5g I know i just did 2 runs but it doesn´t look valuable for T2 imo
