What does that gauge measure? The big or small tank? Does it have to connect to the small tank in order for the gauge to work if it is for the big tank?

According to my experience, pressure gauges are used to detect the pressure of large tanks. It was originally designed to detect small bottles. Clearly, it failed. We are still working on it. It is safest to connect both large and small bottles. Safety comes first. Only connect the big jar and not the small jar. The switch can be opened a little, but it must be closed immediately. This way you will also know the pressure of the large propane tank.
