Edit? Lmao, there's two cuts one to start the video and one to stop it. And then layer the screen record over himself and the vid is done. That's maybe 5-10 minutes😂
@@scottobrien361 you are right, but the fact he didn't is why he is a hero. He had compassion for life even in a situation that he wasn't being given the same compassion.
My girlfriend and I were robbed at gunpoint once and this song really hit us. The way he was able to convey the panic in the song is spot on. Blessings 🙌
@@cayelynbarrows2567 Scarlett Johansson's stunt double in Avengers movies is Heidi Moneymaker's. This girl is also a stunt double in one of the Avengers movies, Spiderman and few other movies and her name is Casey Ann Zeller
True story or not, this was a masterpiece. The reason I say that is cause when I watched the original the first time, I was legit at the edge of my seat. From the music production, to NF’s skill at voice control, patterns and flow, to the acting...I was entertained the entire time. This was so good, real or not.
@@mikeynobiggie3829 ahhh. I think you’re wrong on that. From everything I’ve read (admittedly on Reddit) Nate wanted to make a mini-movie. You have any evidence on that? Cause if that is true, that’s kinda crazy.
My bad guys when the album first released i was going on genius and reading the lyrics and backstory and before it was verified the description for story read something along the lines of “on this track “story” nf raps about an event that happened to his wife Erin” or something like that again my bad
Dude when i started listening to the mixtape, for me it came THAT'S A JOKE then JUST LIKE YOU right under it, and i was like, tf is ИF trying to say to me
NF can rap an entire movie script and you wouldn't even need actors to play the roles. That's how visually on point this guy's story telling is! Goddam!
That video was so bone chilling. The story sucked you in and you felt like you were there. That was an absolutely incredible experience. IDK NF just keep topping himself it’s insane
I’m not a big NF fan but I’m in awe of this. His flow changes time signatures when she knocked over the can. It shortened the length of each bar like a quickening heartbeat. I didn’t transcribe it or anything but I think it does it again a few times right afterwards. It’s disorienting and such a brilliant way to force you to feel what she does. This dude knows how to use music as a tool to tell a story, just like you said. Even in subliminal ways.
NF definitely has a wicked ass gift and this is like damn... I could 'see' this story in my mind, even if I closed my eyes and that's one hell of a writer.
Bro I'm not saying NF is a Messiah but he's way better than most of the rappers today. He's rap is about something..about life .about struggle. Not flashy cars whores & drugs..These mumble rappers have fucked up the game man..I as an upcoming rapper hate to see what is going on..NF is real & that matters.. I grew up listening to Eminem..my idol & role model..He made it clear what he feel about the rap game now in his track Favourite Bitch.
@@scientificreality07 bruh just stop. Clearly looks like that you only listen to nf because I can name quite few of new gen rappers that are more skilled than nf and they don't mumble. I like listening to nf as well but you nf fans make it sound like as if he's the only lyrical rapper in the game and I'm tired of reading that same dumb comment
1st time listening to NF and I can tell already he grew up to real hip-hop. Where lyrics, cadence, deli ery, and story-telling mattered. NF has talent 4sho.
This shit was by far his BEST video he’s ever made IMO. My heart was beating out of my chest after I watched it the first time. Still starts racing every time I’ve watched it since. Even just listening to it it’s so intense
In all honesty, I think this was just a story but based on real life shit. This can actually happen. The girl wanted to be brave and the fact that it was the boyfriend ready to cap and the store clerk in return saved her life. That shit gets me every time. I got a bit of tears going
Haha, I totally didn't stay up and at the minute it dropped react to the whole album 😂 what can I say, he's my favorite rapper, and this whole mixtape got me hyped! You'll love all of it, trust me.
NF has outdone himself on this one. Being able to tell this "Story" in a rhyme scheme without any beats is 🔥. This song had all of us glued to the screen waiting to see what was coming next. Lessons learned never leave your cell phone in your vehicle when going inside any location. You never know what can happen. Also, always ensure you have what you need so you don't have to go out in the late hours. Fantastic job NF.
I'm so glad I discovered this. I recently saw The Story video, which in my opinion is an amazing Sort Film narrated by rap - it's much more than a "music video."
NF Do his work with passion. He is so decide to do the best and he know what he's doing. Accomplishment he makes and his light is glowing. Love is the key.🌹
This song literally hits all the feelers one can have, even without a video. Add in the video and see the tension NF builds verbally... this song is a true masterpiece. Can't really think of another song that leaves you so on the edge of your seat.
Its genius how he put in little details like which candy she wanted and how she shouldn't buy energy drinks. Its truly a real story except it's a song too
It's crazy ... I was just listening to this song thinking it should have a video to it not knowing it already did and then I see this reaction.... Mind blown
When NF says "you don't know me" *he means it.* He's been through some shit. I wouldn't doubt it's a true story, probably the best way he could ever talk about it.
This song right here really hits hard as it’s one of those moments where people have been robbed at gunpoint and the panic that can drive a person. NF’s storytelling was absolutely brilliant and I’ve always loved his music like that
I never gave this guy a chance and I regret it. His lyrics and story telling capability / potential are incredible. My girl just showed me this artist. This song Story gives me the same vibes as "Drug Ballad by Em". Think about it, the beat has the same type of eerie flow to it.
I've never seen Shaq concentrate so hard on a video. I've been subbed since around 500k so many MANY videos have passed.. that's saying something! Nice work
