I think it depends how you look at it. Yeah the buttons aren’t necessarily placed how someone would want, but if I’m a Warzone pro I’ve got every input I’ll need under my fingers and my thumbs never have to leave the sticks. This is game changing. You gotta pay for the perceived benefits and there’s a lot here that I could imagine for the fps pro field.

20:57 answered the only question I had about the controller. 8 extra buttons would be awesome if you can map them to keyboard keys but only being able to map them to face buttons makes them absolutely useless to me. Its probably so hard for small companies like this to pull this off in a cost effective way for consumers while still maintaining a reasonable profit margin for themselves. Where as the big companies like scuf/corsair, etc., benefit massively from economies of scale; but they don't seem to really care and/or understand what the consumers actually want. I guess somewhat of a niche market, but still... While this controller looks sick AF, back/top button design, lack of trigger stops, and price in general is a no-go for me. That being said, I would love for a small company to figure out the puzzle and eat the big bois' lunch, all while offering a great product for the consumers at a reasonable price.
Those back buttons look really uncomfortable. If they made a version with only four back paddles that would be more appealing to me personally. For two additional ones, the sax buttons like on the envision pro I think have better placement
Dude you always speak so highly of AIM but if you get a pro controller with all clicky buttons, and clicky triggers its gonna be like just as expensive as this The Ocho controller if not more!!! I think you are being a little too harsh. Show me another controller with clicky trigger and all mechanical face buttons and back paddles for under $300. Only one I can think of is the Wolverine V2 Pro but and it kinda sucks for various reasons
Descent point, although in any mass comparison (which this isn’t) I always specific that’s only the base three features and not additional things like rubber grips and the clicky face buttons. Harsh would be the absolute last word I would use to describe my review of this controller. Thanks for the advice though, and yes the wolverine does suck ass
I’ve been waiting so long for more rear buttons! As a long time comp player the 4 paddles of the aim controller is still limiting! Would love to try this and honestly out of the dozens I have, make it my main one for comp… but the price point…. yikes…. The price drops and count me in 1000000% For comp I’ll take the advantage of the buttons over comfort any day. Also out of curiosity what kontrol freaks work?
I hear you but honestly if you mimic a build quality similar to the edge/elite then yes I see myself coughing up $300 for the Hall effect and mouse-clicks. That is unless, Sony/Xbox beat them to it… Then it’s essentially game over for the boutique controller shops

@@ZodiacEntertainment2 we will reconfigure the buttons and ship out the version 2.0 buttons free of charge to the first 200 orders as soon as it’s available. Keep in mind this would require a mold to be made which is costly and time consuming. We will do our very best though. A controller company by the people for the people. Hopefully, that helps your decision! We actually find the current buttons quite comfortable though. It really just depends on the user.
Please offer a builder that offers a lot of options, ESPECIALLY trigger stops that allow the DualSense adaptive triggers and I would actually consider purchasing this controller. I also would love the opportunity to test out one of these and provide my feedback!
8 back buttons on a PS5 roller is unheard of. Most remap chips can do 4. This is innovation. Bravo! However I'ma be honest: They've gotta make those buttons flush. Ain't no way nobodies gonna have a good grip with those spikey johns.
i got this controller about a month ago. recently just purchased a custom controller from them as well. i primarily play warzone and have been using custom controllers for years now. i can honestly say this is by far the best controller i’ve ever used
Crazy now bring those features and rear bumpskies to the Xbox series that’s not an OP battle beaves. Make those extra mappable buttons flush and we would have an interesting build that I would consider trying 👍

I managed to get my own version of a similar controller without back paddles. The problem with this last one is, that they get pressed by mistake and I prefer a proper grip during gaming.
I’m sure I’ll get flack for this but I’m around kids pretty much 24/7 and it’s hard for me to watch any content with cussing in it. I start then get to a part with cussing and have to stop it till later and that’s if I remember to go back to it. Your content is so good it’s really not needed. Just an opinion, not trying to tell you how to run your channel. I’ll put on my flame retardant suit now.

I swear extremely seldom in my videos in comparison to any other gaming channel, in fact you have to dig through this long video like a game of find Waldo to pick out the curse words that were probably used swiftly in the moment and added to the steam of the sentence rather than being used like a third grader at recess that just learned how to swear.
Dude have you seen the thunderobot g45 pro? Just got mine in and for 25 bucks this thing is fucking insane, 0.4% error rate in gamepad tester, great resting stock, clicky buttons, decent back buttons, GC controller style triggers, bumpers and accessories are nice, dpad is only slightly worse than the Vader 3 (smaller and a bit cheaper feeling). Haven't seen an English speaking RU-vidr so a review yet.
The reflective gold chin is super tacky, I don't know who decided this was a good look but they probably shouldn't be a designer; full reflective metallic is one thing but this feels so out of place, especially when the sticker doesn't match, sheen and reflectivity aside these are two very different 'gold' colors. And yes, that is outright a sticker, not a hydrodip, part of the reason why it's peeling so badly; I don't mind the design but if your stickers can't hold up to application or use, perhaps source a better product or just don't use stickers, dude probably shouldn't be a product designer if he couldn't figure that one out in the first batch of samples. The shoulder and back button backplate are also tacky as hell, looks like a strike pack was made into a remap kit, it looks like a tumor; again, I have to bash the designer for their choices, there are better ways to do this, but instead of following market trends they go with the look of the wone product segment that _everyone_ shits on, the strikepack look- then on top of that, the strikepack tumor just screws into the original shell, when all of these other companies are starting to move to custom shell pieces to get away from modified shells. Outside of backplate and remap chip as eight remaps is fairly new outside of a handful of original products, everything is seemingly off-the-shelf parts. The price of this is a joke, anyone who buys into it is absolutely a moron to do so, especially when 90% of it is purchasable elsewhere, and the eight remaps can be had via other means if you want to put the work into it; I wouldn't even be surprised if the decal is just a random vinyl sticker applied to the controller, just do an amazon search for 'gold Great Wave vinyl sticker' and you'll probably find it, there's also noticeable misalignment on the trackpad's portion of the sticker, which probably also means it's a generic sticker that's also cut and hand-applied, this probably also explains why the color mismatch is so bad between the two golds- I did also notice that on the handle on the right side, some of the curves of the sticker are scrunched up, which also makes be believe this sticker was originally intended to be flat on a square surface, not made to be manipulated onto complex curvature, which also likely means that the right handle is also misaligned. I'm sorry, but this controller is objectively bad for the price they're asking. The owner clearly has zero idea of what they're doing on the business side, I wouldn't be surprised if they're one of the people in the custom controller subreddit that floods the page with 'their' 'custom builds' that're nothing but off-the-shelf parts; the quality of this controller and the price absolutely screams that they're one of those people. It'd also be hilarious if they're charging extra because they're buying parts at retail instead of wholesale, just tapping the supply chain themselves for even cheaper, or just manufacturing their own kit outright. I know labor is a big cost in these modified controllers, but I have a feeling that their process is also extremely inefficient and they can't be bothered to make the smallest of investments to make it vastly more efficient; even just the sticker application is a great example of this, with how it's peeling and misaligned, they're just not doing a good job and everything is done by hand with no jigs. If you think your shitty custom controller is worthy of being a sellable product, then at least have a business mindset, have the tact to have a product that isn't just kitbashed amazon products, and don't sell something so noticeably flawed, because if the outside is so egregious then imagine how bad the inside is likely to be, and all that for an ovely inflated price is insane. This person should not be a designer, judging by the exterior they should not be an assembler, and they clearly do not have any business sense; so what's the sense of buying this, especially for the price? And this is before getting into actual usability issues like the style of buttons they chose; which alludes to them being one of those subredditors that has an inflated ego of their off-the-shelf kitbashed 'custom' controllers, and more reason why they should not be a product designer- the absolute selling point of the controller, absolutely fumbled for most users, more reason why they have no sense of a business mindset. Honestly, this is a hard, hard pass. I probably wouldn't even pay half price for this, even if assembly quality was better they're still asking way too much. The owner would probably be better off selling mod kits, like the ocho plate, though I'd rather not see a screw-in design that looks like a strikepack-esque tumor, or their own clicky face button kit, etc., _then_ expanding into their own custom builder that has an assembly fee; the ocho is the only selling point of this product as an immediate drop-in solution, everything else can be had elsewhere, yet they're selling the one feature at a steep markup, this is why selling it as an install kit is much better on both sides of the sale. Maybe the lack of sales will knock some sense into this dude, maybe a few sales can get him into some business classes at his local community college, though that won't help with issues with production quality or efficiency.
Scuf also doesn’t have a single Hall effect, or eight button controller (guess the envision on the button part but that’s locked to pc). If you haven’t watched my controller pricing video from a couple weeks back, I think you would benefit from it greatly
Just the first few frames of seeing that I wasn't impressed with the comfortability. Add the price on top of that and it's ridiculous. I really just want a good symmetrical stick layout controller. Guess I'll just have to keep waiting till Gamesir shows theirs's off.

I have not. I don’t think any customer that gets a $330 controller delivered are going to want to start modifying it to make it comfortable. It wouldn’t be much modification on the companies side of the house to make those rear buttons shorter almost flush with the rear shell
That is true, and in your last aim video you said it couldn't be felt in gameplay. Dang it. Every time I try to look else where aim just keeps pulling me back in.
Yes people remember you can disassemble your controller, piece meal parts a la cart, loose your warranty, time, and potentially mess up your controller. Not everyone wants to take that option
@@Teilzeit02 Ohh no. They only come with 2 detachable rear paddles instead of 6, no Amiibo support, Auto Pilot or 10 seconds instead of 10 min., No motion aim assist, adjustable sensitivity of joystick, no extra face buttons and you cannot remove them. Or so according to a Brazilian guy.
