O'Gara kicked him in the head as he 'pretended' to jump over him - if it had been accidental, he would have acknowledged it straight away. I seem to remember Geordan Murphy doing a 'Klinsmann' dive in that game also (Henson got binned for it).
O’Gara argued with the ref that Jenkins was offside but clearly behind the back feet when pass was made to O’Gara. Superb running by Jenkins who was placed in the deep to line him up.
Speak for yourself, the Irish and Welsh have massive respect for one another..some of my best pals and Welsh and we have great banter every year when the Six Nations is on
OK, maybe Henson didn't get carded, but Ireland got a penalty after the conversion for the 'dive' - Henson slid in, but pulled out of the trip before Murphy 'fell' - Even Brian Moore called Murphy 'el haj djiouf' (sp) - i'll lend you the DVD if you want another look ! ;-)
Looking at it again, i am slightly wrong - ROG heel-kicked (I won't say stamped) on Jenkins' right shoulder as he jumped over him - still deliberate. Interestingly, the ref didn't award a penalty for this piece of foul play, but did award one against Henson for his non-trip on Murphy. Still, it doesn't matter now, as the best team won. Anyway, I have nothing more to say on this matter - goodbye!
@HEMISMITHY Its a joke amongst welsh rugby fans, due to his his stature people joked about him being a prop, which then lead to "the fastest prop in world rugby", look it up if you require further information.
O gara was not running that fast, so to attempt for an instant stop or move more to the left to completely dodge jenkins after the try was scored wouldn't have been that difficult. Instead he takes a very small hop over jenkins' head, which is dangerous and pretty disrespectful. Jenkins should not have done that but he was fairly justified..
How can he pull out 'after' tripping him? - Murphy dived, like a cheating footballer Then again, what else would you expect from a Leicester player? O'Gara kicked Jenkins in the head and BOD possibly/probably/definitely gouged Henson. Yep, you're right - a nasty game.
His performance this 6 nations was not that impressive either, he did allright but for a player who is consider (by you) great should be amazing every time he plays, Jenkins just isn't
Good player around the field of play but a prop is needed for scrumaging and not many French and Toulon supporters respect because of how terrible he is with scrumage play - Sheridan is picked before him?!
