its fairly common. I was just in Japan, and saw several claw machines w the onions and also fruit like grapefruit. lol I only wanted to play for cool figures, plush, etc though. I did try some for and win pokemon jelly drinks.

So I just went to Japan. I had to do a few things regarding arcades and prizes, as i love arcades. I set a budget. I shipped stuff back home. And i had come with my biggest suitcase and had it half empty to fill w goodies. Also , i looked at mchines first and was very selective to try for prizes i wanted the most.

@@sarahria shipping is extremely expensive from Japan to the rest of the world. A small box could cost between $30-160 with the Japan Post. As for me I went with fedex since I am an employee. With the discount 2 giant boxes cost me over $250....without my discount it would have been a lot more! But i bought many things including many plush, and won a bit too. I hear DHL may have good rates. Anyway its something to budget. Many people end up buying another big suitcase and paying the fee to add that to their flight. BUT then you have the extra ordeal of hauling that suitcase around with you, at airports, between layovers etc.
