Getting 30,000 Video Games in 30 Days 

454 games in the box. The cartridge was used to test the final assembled product when Nintendo contracted out a secondary company to produce the NES in the 90s to finish the end of the run of the console while their factories shifted focus and started production on the SNES. It was a quality control crutch to make sure the contracted factories were making good product. There could be anywhere from 4 (currently documented similar carts) to dozens that were scrapped when production stopped. Either way the cart is extremely rare, especially here in the states.

I believe the test cartridge is used to test the Nintendo console to see if there might be something wrong with the board, ram, and memory. If there's something wrong, it will give an error code that you can use to diagnose the problem. It looks to be similar to the Burn-in/Test Cartridge for the Snes.

504 games, the cart has been catalogued seems it was a Custom mapper this one in particular was for some sort of expansion but ultimately got scrapped as the SNES likely took over in development. That being said it after some closer looks at the video and board it seems to be a ram/board/memory tester to ensure consoles were good to go before they were packaged.

That cartridge is a proof test cart, probably from the factory or... perhaps sent over for a repair center in the US. they would use this to test each control deck assembled in the factory, cic 3193 is the chip, basically every NTSC system. You can find others with different CIC also.

Just wanted to say thank you for the content you guys have been making! your channel has taught me a lot! after watching for a month or so I decided to try my hand at the power of the ask. first yard sale I ever did that at and this is what I got - (if I had seen what was in the bin I believe I would have paid up a little more but I was excited and threw a number out quick and she countered lol) A bunch of gameboy games including Pokemon red, Silver, gold, crystal, yellow, blue, pinball, the trading card game cartridge, super mario bros deluxe, ninja turtles, AVP, donkey kong land 2 and Killer instinct, 2 gameboy colors, a gameboy pocket, Atari 2600 with 4 joysticks and 2 paddles and about 40 games. paid 140 all together. I was dumbfounded whenever I opened the bin up when I got back and the Pokemon games kept coming. So again, thank you so much for teaching everyone your ways of approaching someone at a yard sale!

Isn't that cartridge to test the 4 controller deck? It's called NES Four Score (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NES_Four_Score) Maybe if you connect one to the NES console, and plug the controllers in, the 00 00 00 00 will change to 01 and so on? Just a thought.

When you put the cartridge in it seems to be doing a systems check and that happens to be a refurbished nintendo. Could it possible be a system tester they would use in the factory or during the process of repairing systems where they would put it in and it would tell you that the basic function of the nintendo is ok as far as readability ? or something they had on the line when they were building the units and packing them to say the system was good to go...I would run that through a bunch of the machines you have to see if you get different results
