In the end, it sounds like its running rich. The old plugs verified it, being severely carboned up. The carb could use a complete rebuild. Good job on the starter!
I agree, there might have been an air bleed or an issue with one of the mixture circuits that wasn't letting enough air in. I normally pull off carbs and clean them even if I don't think they need it, but I just wasn't feeling it on this machine! Thanks for watching!
It's a shame they don't keep up with parts production, but I understand at some point it's not economically feasible to continue. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Hey bud I had a question for ya about one of your other videos but I dunno how you’re supposed to get ahold of someone on here…wanted to know what the tooth count was on the gear reduction setup ya have
Hello, the drive gear on the motor is 11T and goes to a 72T on the jack shaft, the other side of the jack shaft has a 15T and the final drive shaft has another 72T. Let me know if you have any other questions, I enabled comments on the original video. Thanks!
It sounds pretty much like a lawn mower. Before I upgraded due to necessity, I used to have a 2015 Poulan Riding with a 12.5 hp engine. It pretty much sounded identical to the engine in the Murray.
