Nick....i've recently bought myself a 48ft Admiralty Pinnace. Double diagonal hull. I'm about to embark on restoring her. I'm fairly confident i know what i'm doing and excited to do so. RU-vid recommended this channel to me and i'm faithfully getting my way through this entire series. SUCH a wealth of knowledge......drinking it in! Thank you for an entertaining, enlightening and sincere programme. Wish you were back ont' telly. Thanks for uploading :)
Nick, great channel. If I happened to be shipwrecked on a desert island, I’d be set if you were there! We’d build dingy and be off in a few weeks! Keep up the great work, you have some serious ship wright skills!
Nick really enjoy your vids. Notice though you use inches and feet when talking measurements and you seem to have an aversion to safety glasses. Still enjoy and respect your work. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Nick, this is a great series of videos. I'm not bothered that it's not widescreen but was it made a few years ago, and was it for TV? The reason I ask is that it is such a professional production! I hope to sail one day, and perhaps work on wooden boats. This is inspirational, thanks.
6:50 is funny, CK 36 is a smack. Is CK shorthand for smack? Wouldn't SM do? Listen to 11:15, Rupert explains my joke. You British have peculiar sense of humour, heaven't you?
CK stands for Colchester, it's registered port, first and last letters. It should be CR, but thst is in use by Crotone, Italy. www.wildmuir.co.uk/fish/fishingports.htm
