So far, we are midway halfway through the year, and it's been full of tears with some joy sprinkled in. July 5th, 2024 my 15yr old dog Noodles passed away. Before that since January, I've had 5 other family members pass away. My best friend is moving further away and we've had less time together. There have been some highlights of watching youtube videos like your that make me happy and are an escape, line dancing classes with family and friends, going to Gaitlinburg with 18 family members for a weekend, health achievements such as weight loss and more, having a few happy family and friend hangouts, working womens convention was fun, new years eve game night was a blast, works pretty good because of my coworkers.
So nice to see you two work together and get things done! So nice Missy came to join you in the kitchen. I love it when the animals are included in the vlogs.
Thank you for sharing what you do! Don't feel bad for taking time off from youtube.... its a job and we all need a break and mental health days. I would be devastated if you ever decided to quit vlogging, so PLEASE take all the time you need for breaks!
We rolled into Delani on this day we saw this fire up close in the afternoon we got turned around at the park entrance and they closed the park. Was super bummed to miss our chance at Denali National Park but super grateful they kept us safe. We at least had great Denali pictures from a distance; the mountain was out 🎉
Rough weeks are no fun. 😖 Hope Alaska gets a lot rain. Noticed you squeezing the air out of that ziplock bag of lettuce. I have a tip! Put a straw in one end, zip up the bag to the straw. Suck the air out through the straw, pull it out with your teeth and close the bag up quick. You’ll be surprised how much air you get out!
Repot the plant it has out grown it’s original container. Get a few rocks from outside rinse them off and put them at the bottom of the pot before you put some new soil in and water with bottled water and your plant will love you again.🪴
FYI... the Dr. Pepper Zero Creamy Coconut soda is really good! (if you like coconut). Pop a little white rum in it and you have instant cocktail! You're welcome! 😉
Glad y’all got all your things done. Hopefully this week will be better. I’m so sad about the fire at Denali!! We are Coming to Anchorage this Saturday and Denali is the top of our to do list… I’m hoping the rain will help get it under control. 😢
Hi Adam and Sherri 👋 It's been forever since I've commented, but still watch every video. 😊 I do have to say, I agree with Sherri about the basil. I only like basil on a caprice sandwich (but not a lot) I am, though a cilantro freak! I do hope we get some rain where the fires are. We got a tiny bit yesterday on the Kenai but not much. I think that's the one thing that surprised me the most about Alaska, is how dry it really is. I live in Portland and we get about 3 times more rain than Anchorage does. Once the snow melts, it dries out really quickly. Happy for the rain in your neck of the woods. It's supposed to be to 100 degrees in Portland by the end of the week, too hot for this early in the summer! Fires burning here too 😔
The Riley Fire cut power and water at DPL and we've had to send guests to other lodges. We have some light smoke, but nothing heavy. I leave for DPL on Friday, so hopefully everything is back up and running.
Can you and Sherri recommend a book on Alaska? I love all things about Alaska, the weather, scenery and the folklore! My family says I am obsessed and I admit I am now that I follow your channel 😊
If you ever travel (road trip) to Alaska, buy an Alaska Milepost. It will tell you everything you might see and can experience along the way, including where to get gas and hotels, etc. It's awesome!
