We haven't had time yet to even enjoy the pool with everything else that's gone on since then. Meagan and Brendan are certainly enjoying working at camp, at least. They will be back home this coming weekend though. We're all looking forward to our trip to the Outer Banks! That will be our most enjoyable time this summer!
It is indeed a pleasure to have our pool, especially on hot days. But the only way we have it is because our daughter, Shannon, has Cystic Fibrosis, and one of her care givers wanted us to submit her to a local organization similar to the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation. They accepted her wish and gave her this pool! It's a salt water pool (better for CF patients) so you don't put straight chlorine in it, you put salt. A chlorine generator attached to the filter return creates the chlorine more naturally from the salt. As for the "hands on" attitude, having a tight budget certainly has made it necessary over the years. We do what we can, when we can... and have been content with the way things are until we can save money for projects. It has taken us years and a lot of sweat equity to get where we are. LOL!
