NO, This is nonsense, they were winning everything in the early 2000s and launched Enzo, the 575 Maranellho that won several championships in GT racing and CS three of the best cars ever made !!
In some video he also said he's a big fan of Peter McKinnon who does great photography content and inspires him. You can see he really cares about production quality and the right gear while others just take out their cam and start the video.
I simply love the new Ferrari Roma: Distinguished, unique and usable. It's not too big or too low and it looks superb. Maybe the best GT car right now.
My points on this video 1) It needs the wing shields 2) The other wheels suit it better 3) I wish you talked about the interior more , its stunning inside the cabin 4) I think you'd take a big hit on depreciation when selling a Roma in the future 5) Its an understated beautiful Ferrari Great content as ever :)
Sam your a legend, I’ve watched at least 10 reviews on the Roma and no one reviews a car like you, your the best in the game! Here’s hoping 🤞 Magnitude finance can get you in one soon.
This car has grown on me. When they presented it I felt it was some kind of Aston Martin clone, but seeing it reviewed the sheer simple beauty of the lines is refreshing, given how complex and "over the top" has become the standard even for Ferrari cars esthetics. This car has that Italian "thing" to it and it is really hard to resist.
To me; this is the most beautifully designed car (in and out) in recent years from any car maker. This is like the most beautiful elegant woman you ever saw. To me, no other car maker has a new model this good looking. (my opinion guys).
Completely with Sam on this. The first modern Ferrari I would actually buy and use. Stunning to look at, loads of power and slightly practical, with an interior that doesn't look like every other Ferrari since whenever. If only I had £200K!!
Fiat (Budget shit) Abarth (Budget shit with more HP) Alfa Romeo (Premium car) Maserati (Luxury car with sporty accents) Ferrari (Sports and GT premium cars) Does it really matter where Fiat-Chrysler group put it? Maseratis are supposed to be cheaper than ferraris, this model would be too expensive for a maserati. In fact, this ferrari costs double the amount of a maserati.
I love the casualness of your videos Sam. The emotions and opinions are very honest and we all appreciate it. At the same time, the professional level of the filming is always top notch. Wonderful combo and a wonderful car!
You know that everytime you start yelling about how other hard working youtubers like shmee and james can affoard cars and you dont.. it makes you sound envious.. be gratefull for what you have sam, some of us dont even have cars but we share the passion regardless
You are so funny!!!! And that personality of yours is what sets you and your channel apart. Bravo! Additionally, you come off like one of us - guys who can just dream about owning one, most of these cars. That's it, its your humility!!!!! keep em coming my friend.
Re-watched this video again today. Great job Sam! I love your videos because of the road trip content that you clearly put a lot of effort in. You deserve more viewers and I truly hope that you're viewership increases and you can one day afford this car.
For all those who are wondering, the city where they presented the car is called Pollenzo, search for it on google Some of the most beautiful roads in the world can be found winning them :)
I cannot help it but the Roma reminds me of a certain Maserati Alfieri showcar presented a few years ago as the upcoming replacement for the Maserati Gran Turismo... and now Maserati prepares the launch of a kinda Alfa 4Cish mid-mounted engine sports machine instead of the Alfieri. What if Ferrari stole the Alfieri because it was so good? Anyway Sam, start putting money aside as you will be driving this very beauty in near future... the Lottery might be a solution to speed up things... ;-)
The Roma: Ferrari are now public and have a bunch of investors that need impressing. The Roma is basically an attempt at taking Ferrari close to a luxury volume brand. In other words the 812 was the last “real” Ferrari.
Personally, I think that's ok. The way I think of it as that the watered down, more accessible cars made for the everyman are what finance the enthusiast cars that we know and love. Like 911's don't handle any worse with millions of macans rolling around, and the LFA sounds just as good with millions of RXs on the road.
Sam you’re argument about the rear spoiler is a bit redactive. Most of the kamm tail cars have had an upward, air-bending flick that’s there to “spoil” the airflow. Wonderful to see a curvaceous rear on a modern car - even if it takes a little active aero to achieve it. More cars like this and the 612, please, Ferrari.
@@Brownalebelly Well said, I'm putting high pitch voice down to his errr plums being crushed to death in his skintight jeans. He is annoyingly excitable, but still, miles better than Shmee, (dumbest name ever) Guess I'm not their targeted demographic. I'm more of a Harry's Garage kind of person. :)
You need to start selling merch and doing some of the things other big youtubers do if you haven’t. With basically half a million followers you should be able to afford this car
Your most genuinely enthusiastic video to date. Hardly surprising as the car appears to be wonderful in every respect. I’d love one. After selling at least my spleen of course. Thank you Sam
Great video, as ever. I do wonder, though, if the “ferrariness” will be enough to pull buyers away from the Continental GT or the DB11. I guess time will tell.
martin, it looks like a cross between a Vantage and an F Type to me. I don’t see that as a bad thing though - there are certainly worse looking cars that they could have drawn inspiration from!
You know, I love your channel because you are basically a British me. Lol I am a Ferrari geek & I can SOOOOO relate to your excitement & enthusiasm around Ferraris. Also, love watching your videos so please keep making more! Cheers.
Wow, this was some vlog Sam. Quality is off the scale, the whole lifestyle/travel/food snippets just make it so watchable and good quality, this is genuinely the best video on this car I have seen and I’ve watched them all. Ok MR JWW quality has dropped off a cliff recently, he’s clearly pushed for time these days but you have taken the ball and run with it, genuinely TV worthy and you are streets ahead of anyone else, keep it up!👍
@@Josh-qd7lq If the design looked good with it up why would it be designed to go down when at low speeds or parked. Just seems that the designers wanted a cleaner unfettered look. However if the spoiler looks massive like the Bugatti Veyron I can overlook it...LOL
Pininfarina taking more than just a hint from Aston Martin? It's not typical Ferrari from the outside but it's ab-so-fuckin'-lute-ly beautiful! The first Ferrari for ages that I absolutely WANT!
Another excellent show Sam - surely the Roma is the natural successor to the equally gorgeous 550 Maranello. Best car show available, on RU-vid or TV! I’m glad you don’t seem to have a good coffee machine at home (I recommend Sage!) otherwise you wouldn’t get out to so many coffee shop visits! “Ooo awww arrr *parp* arrrr ... look elegant” - good luck with that Sam 😀. Keep up the great work!!!
Never been a big Ferrari fan and usually would take Porsche or Aston instead of Rarris any day but damn these elegant looks and the great updated cockpit Ferrari introduced is an instant buy.
Finally someone who sees what I’m talking about! The front grill is awful. Absolutely no effort was put into the design. At the very least give it a rim and paint it silver...
Absolutely brilliant review mate! You really have become one of the best car youtubers in the world. Love the way you put things and the quirky things you do. Thank you.
Every reviewers of the Roma were quite very Happy and enthusiastic about it. I’ve never seen any sports cars reviews with such enamored reviewers. This must be the dream car for most 😊
Excellent video - I saw this car twice a couple of months ago and was fortunate enough to be allowed to sit in it etc but not drive it as then it wasn’t public - it is a very beautiful and well proportioned vehicle with a lovely interior 👍👍👍
exceptional content! Great job at being funny, informative & rationale with how you describe the car. I saw Ferrari Roma REVIEW's video across all youtubers and you did the best job at describing true essence of this car.
This cars design and brief reminds me of the old Daytona. A car i consider the best looking Ferrari of all time. I love this car and I think it would be best in a deep blue with a cream interior and silver rims. Absolutely beautiful
The shape of the front end is very reminiscent of the Maserati Gran Turismo and the mid-back section is slightly AMG GT. No wonder why I think this is the best looking Ferrari. Oh and of course the TVR Tuscan style grille.
