If you can say a thing like "certainly an interesting spot; I had fun in it" after having to range-check and then fold a bad river, you have the mindset of a successful professional. You need to not only have discipline to think through tough spots and make decisions, but it also needs to be not miserable for you, because in the very long run it's the joy in the analytical process - and *only* that - which will keep you in the game.
