Even though this video is 6yrs old, I'm gonna comment anyway coz (the way I understand it) comments + likes help boost a channel. And you guys totally deserve our support! ❤️ So whether you ever see this or not, here it is.... That train / train station food had my mirror nuerons firing like CAR-RAY-Z lol When my fiance & I did a 2 month trip through Europe we didn't realise how the entire friggin country doesn't wake up til 9am. Like literally nothing was open. In Oz, many of our city cafes are open at 6am to cater to office workers. So I just assumed everywhere would be like that. But nope! So many times we found ourselves having to eat 1 day old greasy pizza for BREAKFAST because that was the only food stall that would be open (presumably to feed all the boozers from the night before). Urgh. Most of the trains didn't have any decent food either so we often had to eat chocolate bars for lunch. And then dinner was a nightmare too, most of the restaurants would close straight after lunch and would not be open again until 8pm. So we'd be starving after travelling all day and having terrible breakfast and lunch and then would have to wait until 9pm to be able to get any sort of 'real/nourishing' food into us. Man, it was rough LOL The hotels we were staying at couldn't help us either. The breakfast/dinner buffets would be closed during the times we were arriving and departing. We kept missing the meal times. And room service wasn't 24hr like it is in most hotels in Oz. It too would be closed during the times we needed it. So we just could NOT get a decent meal most days. One of the best things about travelling through Europe is sampling all the incredible food. And here we were eating chocolate bars and old pizza the entire time. It sucked LOL We still got to experience a lot of Europe's great food on our "non-travel days". But we had ALOT of travel days (our schedule was hectic). So we had a lot of those "grab and go days" and nowhere near as much good food as we would have liked. My advice to anyone travelling through Europe.... do NOT build your day around the early bird train! Your entire schedule will be off from the rest of the country. Sleep in and stay up late, that's how they do it. You'll be on their timeline instead of completely out of sync like we were.

We took a train from San Francisco into Oregon one time. Definitely a fun experience. Although it was overnight, and we didn't get great sleep on it.

+Benjamin Utley Dang, we should have done that when we lived in SF! Yeah the biggest issue for us would be getting real sleep :/ It's pretty tough on a train!

10 hours is not a long ride :) Train from Samara to Ekaterinburg runs up to 33hours(depends on train, minimal time about 21hr). But it is nothing if compare with railroad trip from Moscow to Vladivostok that takes one f**ing week :)

We're thinking of taking an Amtrak vacayat some point. Portland to Vancouver. This was a cool look at what it's like in there! Another great vlog, you two. Enjoy the city!

+Colin Bloodworth You definitely should, how long of a ride is that? Hopefully it's no 10 hours. That was a bit much!

+The Endless Adventure looks like 8 hours, but there's a border crossing involved, so it could end up being 10 like this one!
