Welcome back to the American Falls Farm Timelapse. Today, we continue our grain harvesting operations, moving to the wheat field. Following our proven method, the combine efficiently separates the grain and straw in a single pass. This allows us to complete the harvest and return all vehicles and equipment to the yard.
The grain from threshing barley and wheat is processed in our mill, with the flour then sent to the bakery. Meanwhile, the straw is transformed into pellets. These ready-made products are subsequently loaded and delivered to various points of sale.
Our next task involves a field of poplar, requiring a new forage harvester for chopping them. To meet this need, we sold our old combine and purchased a new JOHN DEERE 9800 equipped with a poplar header. Upon arriving at the field with our new forage harvester and awaiting the auxiliary equipment, we began chopping the poplar into wood chips.
