what a pleasure to have knitting videos 1. not 2h long; 2. structured and precise; 3. with photos and links for each pattern; 4. and of course with a beautiful lady with a pleasant voice. THANK YOU! definitely on of a kind here in RU-vid.

Thank you! I feel similarly about podcasts so I’m glad my concise delivery is similarly appreciated haha!

I love the quilt squares! So cool. I adore that greenish yarn your sweater is made out of!. I don’t sew a lot. I’d like to more. And I love listening to podcasts while I’m sewing. Mostly my fave book podcasts.

Thank you! I’m in love with the green too, I realized the color actually wasn’t even the one I intended to order so it was a happy accident!

Hi Emma! Enjoyed your podcast so much. You are giving me so many ideas for patterns. I smile and approve of your thrifting as I am a thrifter as well. My motto is”You’ll never know what you will find!” I use everything I thrift or my family finds for me. I just make sure it goes in the freezer for a stint to kill any critters. I am knitting the Derecho sweater with Berroco Remix light which I am finding very pleasant to knit with. I am interested to see how it washes and wears. Looking forward to your next podcast!!!

Yes my mom always says “anything you could ever want you’ll eventually find at the thrift store” and she hasn’t been wrong yet!😂 thank you for watching!

Hi Emma! You just showed up in my feed and I'm so glad you did 🎉 I love that you reclaim yarn from older sweaters and yes you are right things were a better quality back then. I'd live to see what you decide to do with the Icelandic wool. I have some that was gifted to me and I am really torn between using island keeping it in stash. Looking forward to your next video!😊

Thank you so much for watching! I have a few more similar 1 ply bulky wools, so I'm sure I'll figure out something but I have a feeling it'll stay stashed till fall haha :)

The Colette tee is PERFECT! I'm knitting the Poetry sweater in cotton so I can have a summer sweater - aaaand now it's time to check my gauge 😅 Thanks for the advice on the Shell Tee. It's in my queue and I have some linen for it, so I'll be extra careful making it. Plus, I'm super tall so I'll make sure it's long enough in the yoke (front and back). Your knits look fantastic!

Thank you so much! I'm really considering the poet tee but I'm not 100% sure because it is a bit lacy in the front, we'll see :) And yes I love my shell tee but full warning I spent quite a while staring at the pattern haha

Thank you for the advice on the shell tee (probably my next cast-on)😊 and for your cami 9, I‘m probably too late and really rigid, but I would rip it back cause the stripe would annoy me the whole time (but I know what pain that menas cause I made one too) and I can totally understand why you don‘t want that 😅

I will add with the shell tee, after wearing it the fact that the hem sticks out does make it breezier than an Aran weight top would normally be for summer! And my hope for the cami no. 9 is that because cotton looses dye over time that it’ll wear out more evenly, we will see!

I am getting ready to cast on a Cumulus top. I am going to use a cotton-merino blend. Yours is looking great! I appreciate that you are recycling yarn. I am a quilter as well and love using up scraps. The economy block does make good use of the fabric. You might consider doing a sashing (strips of fabric between the blocks). It can really help calm a scrappy quilt down. It also makes it easier to join the blocks so you don't lose the points. I am on a grey tone-on-tone kick right now. Just look at your blocks laid out as it can help to decide on a fabric color. A border can also help make the quilt larger with minimal effort. I hear you have ordered from Wool Warehouse. I am curious if you have used Drops Air? If you have, I would appreciate your input in regards to wearability, pilling, ease of knitting. Thanks!

Thank you that’s very helpful! I haven’t done a ton of real quilting and started the project on a whim so I’m a little stuck when it comes to connecting them 😂. I haven’t tried drops air yet but I believe it is a bit pilly, from what I’ve heard it’s a really nice fabric but maybe not the most durable :)

You could maybe dye the no. 9 camisole to unify the colour?

I have considered that, but unless I went for black I don't think it would entirely even out. And I'd rather have a cobalt blue top with a weird stripe than a black one in this case haha
