Even though it's hectic, I like to clean the house and put fresh sheets on the bed and towels in the bathroom, clean out the fridge and TRY to get a freezer meal to pop in when we get back. It's so nice to come home to a clean home and fresh sheets and towels - like an extension of the time away. It's enough to have to deal with bills, etc and laundry.

I went on a little vacation last month up to Colorado with my family and I was blessed to clean the whole house before even my fridge and like you said it was a blessing and now I am having to clean my house but it was nice to have a little relaxing time to get us settled back into the swing of things. I also tried to buy enough pantry items so when I returned all I had to get was my fruits, vegetables, and dairy. My meat has been pretty good so thanks for all you're help in setting me up for great success! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

What a fun relaxing vacation! I'm like you I clean my house well before vacation. I like coming home to a clean house. There is enough to do resetting the camper, laundry, etc without having to clean the house as well.

I always clean before I leave on vacation and I make a dinner that can be frozen for the next full day we are home. Always so much to do when we return home. 😘. So happy you had a good time 💕

Good morning Robin😁 I thoroughly enjoyed this video of your RV trip! You did a fabulous job of filming and editing this video. I also like the music you added. The parks where you and your family stayed are so beautiful!. Austin really does enjoy the RV trips especially when he was dashing around in the water and having a great time. I would rather clean my home before going on vacation. This way when I come back I only have to deal with cleaning all trip stuff. Then like you feel like taking a relaxing bath. I have to say while watching you have to wash, put away everything made me think I wish I could be there to help you, but you did a great job of conquering it all. What a GENIOUS idea - clean your house before you go on vacation, so it is clean when you come back. Then you concentrate on getting the vacay items squared away without worrying about the house! LOVED the video of the vacay at the end - Austin was SO cute and funny running about in the water. When he was following the person on the paddleboard, I was sure he was going to hop onto the back of the board for a ride-along! Both places you went looked relaxing, serene, and lovely.

Hi Robin! Glad to see you back, but mostly glad to see that you had a wonderful vacation with your family! You deserve the rest! I chose to write a comment although I am not sure if you will be reading it. I really wanted to do it just in case!!! I enjoyed so much seeing the pictures of your vacations! Since I will not be travelling this summer, watching your video helped me “travel” a little bit, and I enjoyed it! Thanks! It’s always a joy to see Austin having such a great time in the water, running around and enjoying himself! Thanks for the tip on how to keep fresh berries, and have them easily accessible. I used to keep them, unwashed, in a closed container, and more often than not, the berries would go bad before we ate them. I also loved when you said that you do the different chores as they come, and you don’t exhaust yourself in the process. I will keep that in mind! I needed to hear this! And contrary to most people who commented, I prefer cleaning when I get back from a vacation. Of course, I take out the trash, compost… before I leave. But to me, cleaning the house is a way of starting afresh when I come back, like starting a new life in a way! But it is true that it is A LOT to do at once, so maybe I should change the way I do things! Actually, I never thought about doing it differently. Next time I leave for a vacation, I will clean the house before and see, upon returning, how it goes! If you read my comment up to this point, I thank you for your patience! I’m really happy for you that you had a great vacation, and wish you a blessed week!🙏😍 🎈

Loved this video. Did you truly get these things done in one day? You are a cleaning machine. I wish you could give us a tour of your RV. It was fun to see your son having so much fun. Did your other son get to go? I remember you said he was getting married, so maybe he has and I missed that event. Love your inspiration. I try to leave on Sunday and get home on Saturday so I have the day before to clean/pack, I make sure there's very little to do on the morning I leave, and the day after to reset. If I can't do that then I'll take extra days off work. When I don't arrange it this way I'm anxious when I leave and anxious when I get home and that's no fun.

Because of cleaning before leaving, I am more than ready for vacation. When we return, it’s so nice to know that we don’t have to clean the house. I also do the same for hurricane evacuation. A person can forget how beautiful Texas can be when refineries and chemical plants are part of the everyday landscape.

Great video! I drove past that RV park on the regular for the two years my husband and I lived in New Braunfels and never knew what it looked like below. You just don't park your RV at a resort in your own backyard. Lol. I'm not surprised you found the KOA in Corpus to be pleasant, we have found the KOAs to be pretty consistent when it comes to amenities, cleanliness and amenable staff. If/when you decide to travel west, the KOA RV resort in Tucson (Lazy Daze) is a great place to visit. I also suggest the Quality RV resorts in the Houston and San Antonio area and a nice one called Buckhorn Lake just outside of Kerrville. Happy RVing!

It looks like you had a wonderful vacation! When I can’t wash something (bedding or clothing), I use Febreeze spray and lay it out in the sun for a few hours, flipping it over to get both sides exposed. The sun does wonders to freshen and even disinfect while the Febreeze adds even more refreshing power.

I love to leave on vacation with a clean house. What a great vacation at the beach. My husband would love the surfing. Our dog Sophie and your Austin would have fun playing together by the water. No matter how organized, there is always a bit of a mess to deal with when you get home. Looks like you had a wonderful time.

Hi Robin - Enjoyed seeing your video today when I got home from church. I do like to leave everything, including sheets clean when I leave and I like to totally unpack as soon as I get home. I don’t like digging for toothbrush etc so I want it all put away as soon as I can. You look like you are enjoying your airstream. Do you plan to go north? We lived about 3 years in Santa Fe when I was a child and it was so beautiful up there. I have been wanting to go back. My brother and I have talked about going on a trip up there together before we get too old. Ha! Austin sure looked like he was having fun. Thanks for sharing with us. Love in Christ.

Robin, such good tips as always! I’m wondering what those square glass containers are that you put the fruit into? Are the6 in your Amazon shop? I can’t seem to find them. I love the shape. And yes….I clean thoroughly and change our beds prior to going on vacation. I hate walking in to a dirty house.

I love the idea of breaking the tasks down I to bite size chunks. I like it wen fruit doesn’t last as it means we are eating healthy foods. Ironing can wait!!!

Thanks for the visit! I enjoy your videos. I like to clean as much as I can ahead - but if I am the only one leaving (such as a girlfriends weekend) then there isn't any point. just do normal cleaning and plan a deep clean a few days after I return. I wonder if you have dryer balls and essential oils I would use that to tumble and freshen the comforters.
