I remember my brother who is ERT (SWAT) saw a old couple who were turning in a authentic WWII german Luger and him and the other ERT boys suggested maybe instead of having it be destroyed they turn it into a museum or something as a historical piece, or that one of them could buy it, but the couple refused, so after the couple was gone and in the possession of the department, they took it to the range to put some rounds through it, using low grade 9mm, since the 9mm luger was a weaker round than 9mm parabellum, it worked, they spoke to whoever was in charge of gun hand in's, trying to see if they could at least get it turned into the museum rather than destroyed, I believe if I remember correctly they succeeded so the gun was at least saved

Not gonna lie these gun buy back people disqust me. Most them are probably selling either amazing pieces of history. Or even worse a family heirloom, but they dont care tbeh get a 50 buck giftcard for starbucks

Really, the way gun buy backs should work - a bunch of FFLs. They can buy the guns at a better and more reasonable price, and no valuable historic pieces get destroyed because someone wanted a $150 card.

I have never seen a more over rated RU-vidr in my life. You don't want to make content. You said yourself, on unsubscribe podcast that you will do making cop content this year. You want to make vlog videos. You make like 4 videos a month, you don't even edit your own videos. You go on unsubscribe but you say like 10 words in an hour, you don't even have to prepare or edit those videos either. This video is months old and all you had to do was select scenes you wanted to keep, it would take less then an hour to do this and upload it. Then you blame the holidays for slowing it down? It sort of just occurred to me, the whole buyback thing is to get legacy owners to turn in stuff they inherited. People who purchased the firearm for themselves will obviously realize that what you get for it is a fraction of it's value and if you don't want it any more you can sell it to a gun store...but that allows others to purchase them and keeps them in circulation. Which makes it cheaper to buy one because the supply is so much larger. The result is that more law abiding citizens become gun owners. it's not "keeping guns off the streets." because the guns that end up on the streets don't usually come from legacy owners breaking the law to sell to a criminal. Gun store owners are usually pretty responsible, so logically the ones that are on the streets are coming from theft and smuggling. Evidenced by the fact that very few crimes, as a percentage, are committed by a legally registered gun and it's owner.
