Awesome, glad to hear it. I'm 45 so maybe you aren't a whole lot older. Besides Anthony Bourdain is the most famous traveler in the world and he's getting pretty old. My mom still travels and she's 70. So yeah, you're never too old to travel. :)

I don’t have an interest in going myself to UAE but the way you are exploring is dispelling misconceptions that I have about the ME. Very cute Santa Village at the mall & I can loudly hear a child say “Merry Christmas”. Also the cities in UAE are so clean and orderly. You’re a good ambassador of both your country & the countries you visit.

I'm really impressed with Abu Dhabi to be honest. Dubai is far too expensive and crowded but Abu Dhabi is perfect if you want to have the Arab experience while being safe and not emptying your pockets. You saw those people helping you find a taxi which almost never happens in Dubai.

New taxi drivers who don't know the city at all is fairly common in Abu Dhabi, it's manageable if you live there and can direct them, but clearly a problem if you're a tourist. I'd love to see TransAD introduce something like "The Knowledge" - training new drivers to know the city and drive safely.

So far I have been to: USA, Canada, NZ, Australia (I am in Australia), Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, South Africa, Israel, the UAE, Colombia, Peru, Germany, Nederlands, France, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Czech. 29 countries.... I am 31.

Actually I am not rich. I booked cheap accommodations through airbnb dot com. 5 years ago when I went to machu pichu, Peru and Bogota, Colombia, I booked for private rooms for only 12 Dollars a night. And for entire apartment (1 bedroom apartments) in Bogota, it was like only 20 Dollars a night in Bogota. Even now, you can find many 25 Dollar ones for 1 bedroom apartments in Bogota. Same with when I went to south east asia and south africa. These are cheap countries. I like them cause things were cheap and I could relax and get exposed to local daily lives and foods and the sceneries.... With west Europe and the Scandinavia, I stayed at lodges sleeping with backpackers from other countries. 4 years ago, in Iceland's capital Rekjavik, the price of sleeping with strangers were like 60 Dollars a night. Private room in a hostel was like 120 Dollars and 3 star average hotel room was like 240 Dollars. I think prices have gone up now. I like travelling because I like to see other countries' way of lives in person not by videos and photographs.

Probably will someday but mainly the regions around the Himalayas region (is it Nepal?). Probably not gonna hike up to the peak but will go to the small villages in the Himalayan region.

The Sony looks awesome!! The sound quality is much noticeably better, too. Better get a mic muff - it’s picking up a lot (wind noise, etc.). I’ve seen other vlogs with the GoPro 6 - should be great and I bet it will look fantastic! I’m impressed with the Sony in low light, too. Saw and noticed that same cool crescent moon in Sedalia, Colorado on the 24th! 👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼

Karin B Yes, Zoom feature is also good in addition to low lighting. But little Shakey, can use some gears for that. Using both would be amazing too. Which camera do you use, iPhone?

Pankaj Traveler Hi Pankaj. Yes, usually my iPhone as it’s with me always, but I have an old Nikon Coolpix P500 I’ve used as well. It takes great still photos even now. But it’s not as good for videography. With my teaching schedule I just don’t have time for editing! So I like sticking to Instagram and still photos.

But there is 1 thing about it. people stare at you for no reason. I Live in the UAE Myself and I feel unconfutable every time I get stared at by random people for no reason. And its okay for people to stare at you. That's the only thing I hate about The UAE But I still love the UAE. Its my home country. its my land. I Was born and raised here

Congrats on the new GoPro, I picked up the Hero 6 last month. My first action cam, I have been happy with it overall. When I lived in China and would go into Shanghai I would always make sure to get a business card from the hotel with the address on it to give to taxi drivers. I ended up with a large stack of business cards for hotels, restaurants, bars. After the first year I gave up trying to learn to speak Chinese.

2:40 It definitely shows how most of the times we have a wrong perception about Arabian countries (thanks to the media) when actually in reality the people are some of the most friendly & polite people I've met. Most of them are open to experiencing different cultures and festivals apart from that in Islam. But thanks to the media and our politicians we get them completely wrong!!

8:58. Aah man these areas are packed up with all the pakistani, indian and bangladeshi labourers and its so much crowdy. You should visit quiet places such as Khalidiya and go to the extreme ends like Mina and Ras al Akhdar

In UAE (mostly Muslim country) Christmas displays in peace, while in India a Christmas festival was raided by extremist Hindi's and shut down for allegedly forcibly converting locals. This world is not always what the media wants us to believe.

I am a Muslim from UAE and we don't have problems with anyone I have a Christian neighbor from Lebanon and we exchange gifts on both religions holidays and a Hindu friends from work .. So please if you don't actually interact with Muslims Emirate don't assume stuffs

although I am Indian. This is my hometown and I love the city very much. I no longer live there. My mom and dad stays there. I would recommend you try the food there. You get awesome Mediterranean, Indian food here. Food in Abu Dhabi is better than all places I have been in the world.

Still got the backpack, I can't imagine ever actually traveling with a suitcase. But yeah moving up a little, thanks to the fact that hotel rooms aren't as expensive as I thought they would be here. Also after six weeks in India which is so much cheaper I can afford to splurge a little. Things have definitely changed in the past year, it's cool to see some real progress.

The visual stabilisation and audio are quite poor in this video. Not your fault - just new tech. Audio can be fixed with settings tweaks, micro muffs or, even better, a directional mic (Rode VideoMicro). However, the lack of inbuilt image stabilisation makes this a difficult camera to vlog with - option to purchase lenses with EIS (but costly). I think that your videos shot on the iConntech and GoPro are quite adequate for your presentation style and need for discretion. However the a5100 opens up an unused avenue in your presentational palette - great timelapse and slowmo, as well as being a good stills camera. Just get a small tripod (Joby Micro) for these shots.

Yeah I'm bummed about the complete lack of stabilization. Will probably do most of my vlogging with the new GoPro and use the Sony for other situations in which I'm not moving around too much.
