Once you get your marriage certificate, you can apply for a visa extension and then start the application for the Alien card ( that's what the Kenyan residency card is called). Good luck.
Hello there I am in such confusion because I don’t know if I just need a sworn affidavit of single status from a notary. Or do I have to go through the Embassy? We do not have an embassy in Los Angeles county, California. Some are telling me for Kenya I just need a sworn affidavit of single status signed and stamped by a notary. The American fiance needs to book an appointment at the US Embassy in Nairobi through their website, then go to the embassy on the appointed date and swear the affidavit.

He needs to apply on Ecitizen website he will get the visa within 48 hours after application is approved, then he needs to print the visa and take it with him to show at the airport when he arrives.
