I would say to clean when its healing and for it to not get infected. Then when it heals from time to time maybe but I don't think most people care that much if it's already healed 😊

@@ChelseaBrown-sh7rknope, not at all! i got mine done at 13 and i have a low pain tolerance. seriously i cry scream and faint every piercing i get, sometimes throw up. when i got my 1st 2nds and 3rd lobes, they hurt much more. the clamp they use on the belly button pinches just a bit but that pinch is so worth it because the needle is painless. the clamp numbs it in a way so the needle they out through just feels like they are squeezing the clamp tighter in reality they aren’t, just breathe calm and relax, the more tense your stomach gets the more painful it will be. the most painful part is a week-month after you get it done. it can hurt when you move in some ways or get it caught on stuff or bumped. so just be very careful and clean is as instructed, and don’t change the piercing for around a year (my mistake, it caused a huge infection). wait until is fully healed. i know i typed a lot, just for anyone wondering hope this helps

I’d say a for a few months for sure but u will be able to tell when it’s starting to heal. For the first 2 ish months clean twice a day and then after that u can just clean it once a day few another few months. May have to wash it every now and then after
