For future Mandy: I casted my June Top on with Judy's magic cast-on and when I picked up the stiches to work downward I simple knittd back one round so the stiches would have the same tension that i usually have

The wall hanging could stop curling if you put interfacing/stabilizer from joann's on the back. They have iron on ones or even sew on ones that you could put into the back. You wouldn't see it when it is hanging on the wall.
