You were saying in your last vlog you're not sure if it was worth doing everything to perfection. I have grown up in a house that's 30 years old and the plumbing was put in so badly, we constantly have leaks from the upstairs bathroom, there's not a room downstairs that not needed the ceiling replastered because water will just travel across beams to the lowest spot before it drips through. So hopefully, because you put in that extra effort you've saved yourself a LOT of time and money in the future fixing the dodgy job

I am getting a little bit work done at home, starting the end of this month, finishing early November and I can’t wait to have a massive reset day get everything “just so” as I might (just might) have already started to think about Christmas 🎄 Have a lovely weekend x

What type of ear buds do you have? I need to look into some, but I guess firstly I need to learn how to use lol. What a lovely reset. At work the other night we were discussing how we each treat ourselves better, and this is the way I have to do it. I have a schedule, to shop, to wash all linens, to meal along with food prep, and then a home blessing (house) cleaning. I also use the Fly Lady cleaning system because it keeps me in line. If I dont grocery shop and immediately food prep, I jump track. I shop after work twice a week. The meals that take longer, I make when I am off. The second time I shop is for fresher and easier things to fix. I believe this is the ultimate form of self-love, and one of the best ways to maintain your physical and emotional health. Such inspiration, and beautiful music in the back ground.

(ps. LOVE that you said "my husband" at the beginning oooooooo 😍) about your question: XO, MaCenna is one of my favorite channels along with yours, they're very similar content-wise. Only difference is Texas vs. England 🤣 But she is renovating a 1920's bungalow and the series is just too good, she has a great classic style as well but she gets everything 2nd hand. Eamon & Bec is another favorite - they were vanlifers and settled in to renovating a cabin in Canada and are just great filmakers. They are upbeat and will ALWAYS inspire.

I look forward to watching and seeing what the two of you have tackled this week. I did have a thought after seeing you carrying laundry baskets up and down the stairs though. Have you thought about putting your laundry units upstairs instead of the main floor? Is there anywhere this could work? I just think how much easier it would make things, especially once you start a family. It’s becoming far more popular here to have them where the bedrooms are as that’s where we tend to get dressed/undressed and where the majority of laundry is kept. Food for thought! Have you ever thought about placing your washer/dryer on the third floor? It might be something to consider since it is gutted right now and it doesn't seem like the hallway closet is ideal. Doesn't most of your laundry get created in the bed or bathrooms? Just a thought. 😊

In terms of RU-vid Channels is you struggle to sleep at night ASMR videos are great, 'Rosy ASMR' and 'Gentle Whispering'. Home reno (obviously yourself!) Emma Hill, Jess Rose Parr (she's doing full renovation like yourself), I really like 'Living the Life You Love' with Kay for relaxing/focusing on how we are feeling and others I like that have a bit of everything is Niomi Smart, Lily Pebbles and I Covet Thee (although she hasn't posted for a long while). I’d recommend chateau diaries on RU-vid for escapism, renovation inspo and light hearted content. It’s one of my “no matter the mood” channels that I can’t get enough of. Yours are the same for me too! It feels like catching up with friends when I watch your channel

You want quiet ones WITH gentle talk? Watch The Cottage Fairy, and her brother who’s now quiet for a while, Living the life you love. Combining DIY with full-time entertainment is my favourite DIY Danie, and My DIY Wife. Reno with loads of talented handiwork are DIY Huntress and Nick Morris. I love garden renos, my favourites being Dirty Business and Dainty Diaries, and a young French guy whose name I forget .. Aeroventures or something. Someone I watch for entertainment is Caroline Winkler. People like Madeline Olivia, Rachel Metz, Mr Carrington, Hermione Chantal, Emma Hill, Lily Pebbles, and of course Catherine of Dainty Diaries who does much more than gardening, are my original and all time favourites .. you’ll just love Luke Cateleugh for a combination of many things.
