I have LONG stood that I would rather you hate my work than to be MEH. I love haters. It lets me know I am doing something right. and I always think. #1 your not my audience. I thank them for the comment and tell them to have fantastic day. Something I learned a longtime ago doing customer service. It isn't you that they are mad at. well you will know when its you. 99% of the time it is them having a bad day and taking it out on you. haters gonna hate. return there hate with love. Stay classy Jose!
Doesn't mean your work is 'bad' work...I, personally, dislike works by Van Gogh, Munch, Klimt and select others..doesn't mean it's bad work (actually, great work!)...I just don't like it. Not everyone will jump into superlatives about your work no matter how good it might be.
So true..Having paintings and being very wary of showing them due to religious /political nature etc, or not knowing there placement online is so frustrating ,religious especially as to make someone questoon there lifelong belief feels,"strange,"for a better word..
