good try michael but this shows your table plays short most tables play around the midpoint of the long rail with a touch of running side about 11 o clock or 1 o clock going the opposite 3 rail shot thats if you're shooting out of a corner pocket once you find the spot on the long rail where cueball goes round the table and pockets into the corner remember that spot on the long rail, now set up the same shot and aim at the same spot on the long rail but increase aim at a spot 8 to 10 feet beyond the table this spot could be a chair leg a bottle or glass or anything at all now put your cueball anywhere in the same half of the table and aim at that glass or chair leg the cue ball should now pocket in the same pocket this system is called the spot on the wall shot give that a try and surprise yourself . good luck to you🙂

Another brilliant video, Michael. You make these routines look so easy and I love the pace that you play the shots at - no thrashing! One quick question for you about rail shots. Do you play these with no spin, inside spin or outside spin? These shots are my nemesis 😢
@MichaelScerri147
@MichaelScerri147 Год назад
Hey mate, thanks for the kind words basically on a table like these I would try and use little side as possible to pot them down the rail. It basically just comes down to practice with each player and especially what table you play on. Some players like to use check side or running side when they pot a ball down the rail I think it’s whatever the player feels most comfortable doing.

In the first snooker escape (the 3-cushion shot), is the purpose of your initial cue alignment, going straight across to the middle diamond, to find the point on the rail directly across from that diamond? Is it because if you skipped that step and started aligning the cue thru the object ball and that middle diamond, you'd end up pointing thru the diamond instead of across from the diamond? Also, are you using a touch of running English on that kick shot? Thanks.
@GetnNibz
@GetnNibz 5 месяцев назад
Hey mate yes I’m using either a touch of running or barely none at all. It doesn’t hurt using a little side just experiment with it but most importantly is that you have the same speed all the time when striking the ball. As for your first question, not sure how to answer it.

@@GetnNibz Thanks for your reply. I was just curious why the first step was necessary (laying your cue straight across from 1 middle diamond to the other)?

Thanks for the insight Mick, do these tactics and angles translate the same on the 7ft tables?
@MichaelScerri147

They are very similar yes but like all tables there may be small adjustments needed.

@rhysgodden3779
@rhysgodden3779 Год назад
@Middleagedshred only off one rail. Off multiple rails would be pretty complex to do during a game so better to just practice them and learn to see them naturally.
