I love how you explained the other side of the story: how this is his only option for food, and even how he acknowledges that what he’s doing is bad for the game and that he doesn’t necessarily enjoy doing it. Perfect journalism!
@@infrared561 Thanks, I was hoping Dong would mention the US involment in fucking Venezuela's economy. He's not a political person so it wasn't a realistic expectation.
I remember playing with some friends from Venezuela (I'm from the LAN server) and 2 of them disappeared back in 2016. They stopped playing, which wasnt really strange for me, sometimes they would go away for like a week or two, but the months passed and they never came back. I really hope its just because their pc's stopped working or because they left the country (one of them said he was planning to go to Argentina or Chile). I really do hope they're still alive and trolling games in LAS server, they were some of the funniest friends I've ever played with.
I FUCKING RAN INTO THIS DUDE A FEW DAYS AGO. It was exactly a WW jg with a morg fallowing him around doing only jg and no ganks. Our mid Yone quite and me (nasus) and our bot (ezreal) where trying to keep us from losing.
I created a new account after being inactive for 10 years and forgetting my login information and there are so many smurfs, deboosters and players leaving in low level games it's insane!
Very good video, the debooster scene should be seen as reverse challenger skillwise, because those people know so much about the ban system as challengers know about the game.
Can we talk about how bronze and iron are not real elos, and how such a wide skill variety is crunched into silver and gold when they can make iron an actual elo and not an elo you have to try to lose into
As someone who also plays oldschool runescape seeing how Venezuela's economy is affecting other games is kinda interesting. No hate to anyone and I hope they can get to a place they don't have to do this anymore.
I am genuinely convinced that nobody plays this game for fun. It's all just Players paying other players and using they are skills to get higher ranks to brag to other people
Tbh I don't see anything wrong with this. If smurfing is allowed, then why not this? Game is unfair either way. It's like anti-smurfing. Team that gets a debooster will most likely lose, as opposed to team who gets a smurf will most likely win.
i can't believe people are celebrating this guy, he actively chose to take the fun away from others. there are so many more opportunities to make money online WITHOUT hurting anyone. i feel sorry for him, but this is the wrong way to go.
There's no way I'm this bad, been iron for a couple of seasons now Edit: wanna play like an iron, thinking it makes "no sense" disable the mini map. It's just you, some minions, and 5 people coming out of the clouds
65 euros per day? I'd actually take this job. Also really easy way to counter this is to detect same IP players. You can use VPN , but then it's gonna lag like crazy, and you already have bad computers.
DongHuaP can we start a gofundme for this guy? Maybe try to get him a job at Riot as a support rep or something so he doesn't have to do this? Would be awesome to try and close the loop here.
I love how he actually says that they have to constantly adapt their strategies because Riot actually ends up figuring and banning them every couple months. So much for "Riot does nothing about feeders" huh
They don't do anything about soft inting/win trading. To be fair this is mainly a high elo issue and much harder to detect as it blurs the line between having a bad game and genuinely not trying to win even more than it already is sometimes. However it is an issue that needs to be addressed for the ladder to have any integrity.
im going to play aurelion sol just for experimental purpos ... on my back up acc im G4 playing for fun time to time only normals and ext... but now i wanna play aurelion sol and see if this will get me to iron without trolling... either i will get better with champion or get banned but lets see
guess what hes gonna do in 10 or even 20 years when league ceases to exist? Bad actions scalonate according to the necessity so its very easy to guess whats he gonna do.
There is no way faker's net worth is near 4 million. His player contract is 2.5 million a year, his house is in a massive apartment complex which he owns and was build for him. He owns a office building (with 10+ floors) which he rents out. his net worth is at least 20-30+ millions, but we will never know.
Yeah like idk if you want to do anything with this but. To fix the issues of soloq its easy. You make it so soloq is made for winners. Its about only caring about winning. You give good rewards to them and you dont ban ppl for "toxicity" calling some1 bad or reporting. Dont be racist or call some r"t"rded etc and its fine. Add Voice comms to soloq and u will see less toxicity too since ppl who speak will win more and when the mid roams its not 1 missing ping its mids moving from mid
I am a former iron 4 player. Back when I started league and finally hit level 30, i queued ranked and dropped straight to iron 4. Now I realise that I had some serious talent back in the day to actually make iron 4 while actually trying.
League was my 1st moba. Back in season 2 I dropped from 1200 Eli to the minimum 700 Eli and stayed there for a couple of month. Then climbed it back again in just 2 weeks. Like at that level, the difference in what you needed to do to win was very small
Your ability to multitask is impressive and I hope you’re able to get through this hurtle. You’d make a great dispatcher which is something I did for a few years and requires a lot of multi tasking and keeping track of units. Shoot I’d Venmo you just to help out a bit if donghuap can get it.
@@WiSHNUKEs Yes, but it's not as impressive as he thinks he is. He memorized everything, from start to finish he knows what to select in champ select, where to click on minimap and the rout path. If he dies he starts over. It's not like he's trying to win those games playing on 6 different computers, jeez.
@@SorakaOTP462 if you have and do the same job everyday for an extended period of time wouldn’t that also develop memorization? Obviously getting a job as a dispatcher is more difficult than getting a computer for most people but he was just giving a suggestion and positivity
7:50 is where this video becomes “the human element”. I can tell that this guy does not enjoy what he does within himself even before he says it, but when it’s your way of life, your means to survive, what else do you do? I love how he acknowledges just how toxic this is for the game but when your very life depends on toxicity, are you really the villain? Keep making content Dong, I’ve been following you for years and truly love the direction you’re going in. Much love.
@@neetenshi You can say "win money", but it implies you won a prize rather than earned or made it through selling accounts. I don't speak much Spanish, but I was able to make out some words reading your tips in reverse, so you helped out 2 people with 2 languages in 1 response.
@@OJOdin You're right, I didn't specify that usage since it's not the one needed in this context. I'm glad I was able to help in any way, I love learning languages and I'm always happy to see others improve!
Great video. The 6 game setup is crazy. Sad to hear he's forced to do this due to the economic failure of his country. I hope it turns around eventually. Good luck to him

Dong: What do you do for a living? Levande: I suck. Dong: What if Riot makes it harder to suck? Levande: I suck harder. Guys now this is skill right there.
Just because you're Iron elo doesn't mean you're the best at getting there. For anyone curious Levande's actual rank is Diamond. He's taken those skills to hit Iron as efficiently as possible. I love your channel! please talk about our league points system in the next video as you brought up this ranked issue at the end. I think it's absurd that you lose points because a single player dragged the team to defeat while despicable players get points for being carried, I hope you consider this request, because I don't usually comment much here but I'm always watching your videos with youtube automatic subtitles
Extremely good video. I have done similar things in the past but with another game, basically for the exact same reasons of this guy ( things in south Italy are absurdly worse than what people imagine, and also extremely different from north italy ). I liked the part where you let him explain why he does that and I completely agree with his philosophy of basically HAVING to do that because he can't live otherwise, still caring about the game and acknowledging that he's making it worse, but ultimately conceding and doing it because he must. Keep it up!
I must disagree with that guy ''This is not an excuse part''. The dude is ruining very, very low-ranking matches in a video game because that is his best way to get fucking food to not die, that is not just an excuse, it's a damn good one at that.
You can think like this I'm assuming you come from a country that has a stable economy atleast. When people can't afford basic necessities and can't live a normal life they may resort to something like this, i 100% don't agree with what his doing but I also understand why he does it.
@@annexgaming1856 And I assume you can think like this because you can't read? I quite literally wrote that the idea of him having to excuse himself is silly, because his need to feed himself is way more important than if some matches get trolled. Maybe you should actually read what people write before trying to feel all heroic by accusing them of stuff they never said eh?
it’s just crazy man, i really feel for the dude. his country failed him. despite that, i have nothing but respect for the guy, he puts in the effort day after day and is without a doubt a master of his craft. wish for nothing but the best my man, keep deboosting 👍
>i have nothing but respect for the guy Doing literally the most destructive thing possible to the game you're playing most. And you have "nothing but respect" for that? You're completely spineless.
"they are paying a team of software engineers hundreds of thousands of dollars in California to police a guy making 5 bucks in Venezuela" Fuck, that really got me thinking. I mean, even tho what he is doing is not quite right and Riot is on its right to try punishing him, it just doesn't feel right '-'
@@MrCmon113 I get it, my point is not really about league or riot it self. It just surprises me how such some situation come to happen, specially his case at least. Being given no opportunitie but this to live.
You outdid yourself with this video, Venezuelans always have tried to make a living in gaming so they could survive their failed economy, much love to them and I hope that things get better for their country
I remember reading a story about how the World of Warcraft game economy crashed because of the week long nationwide blackout Venezuela had a few years ago, due to most people doing item farming were from there. Certainly a testament of their will to try to get through harsh times.
"Are you okay doing a job that is pretty much doing the same thing over and over over again. Because this just is just farm the camp and surrender." So if you main Nasus, you're golden.
Sadly, getting out of Venezuela is even harder than managing to live there, and even borderline impossible if you don't have help from outside. If it isn't due to the non-existent economy, it's from the insane corruption and neglicence of the goverment, so much that airport security might not allow you to leave the country just because they know you're not coming back, and you can just lose your flight - and your money - if you can't convince security that you're coming back. Take it from a venezuelan that miraculously made it out, my family had to buy round-trip tickets just to "prove" we weren't moving out.
@@AceOf_Diamonds_ that's horrible I also come from a third world country but even there they would at least let you leave I hope something can be done to help ven even though it's very unlikely it'll get better
I've been playing league for a little over a year and half, and my first few times in ranked I deranked to Iron II pretty quickly because I was (and am) bad. I kept complaining at the time that it felt like about half my games had people intentionally feeding in it, and I thought that I was honestly just crazy or had bad luck with teammates. But this video, this video makes me feel so much better.
I feel you. I’m not a good player but i should not be in iron, because i was doing well in py bronze/silver soloq games. Just got unlucky this season with my placement and landed in this pit of garbage :(, literally unplayable. Might abuse my yasuo again because otherwise i’m not getting out
Boosting is still playing the game. The other team still has a chance to win and all that's in their way is the opposite team. Inting isn't just playing out of your league, it's grieving your teammates. It's the most unfair and unsportsmanlike thing you can possibly do in a game.
I’m confused how you went from talking about making $65 a day then the interviewee saying they only make $100 a month when they said they work every day?
So from what I can tell he’s a salaried worker. He doesn’t “own” the accounts he’s the guy in charge of deranking accounts and he probably sends it to the main company which sells the account for like whatever amount and they pay him 100 a month
Most people from venezuela have computers phones and internet. The economic collapse happened in 2015.Internet, gas and electricity are dirty cheap as well, and most have at least a highschool education, the guy in the video most likely is graduated from college or is studying . I'm from venezuela.
So Dong, when you say "it's not even minimum wage" I've worked for 5 dollars the hour with out a contract, the person next to me was jealous because they had a degree and they where making 650 a month, while I was making 600. The US is one of the better off countries economically, positive side is here everything second hand is really cheap lol
There are plenty of solutions for smurfers and demoters, just using the "S,A,B,C rank" system and the "champion mastery 5" system, but lets be honest here: Riot don't give a f*** about quality, only quantity "An angry player is loosing 10 games in a row and making other 4 different players each game lose too? Who cares? Just keep ranking" "The funny cat is the only champion in the entire game that you could play with your feets and it is being used to demote with bots? Who cares? Support mains and duos love the funny cat with the funny skins. Just keep playing"
@@minhminh-wp5lg But there are solutions. The issue is that the developers have to decide between a fine line of destroying the game to ban all of these people or to have a tolerant community and have these people running around.
Disgusting practice, losing game not onlly on purpose, but also in order to earn money. But it's hard to say that all this setup and theory is not impressive.
I mean, you can only be soo hardstuck before you eventually start demoting, right? even though riot has done a lot to ensure that bad players don't actually decrease in rank. demote protection and stuff like promo free wins mainly. it's very well possible to climb with negative winrates these days which is just insane to me.
@@SolaceV9 There are times in gold where i feel like playing only vs smurfs and on other days people play so much worse For example, my highest rank was plat3 and now i am not able to win my gold promo cuz of this issue 65% wr (while playing only one champ/role like coaches want you to play) then suddenly all teammates play insanly bad and i loose 20 games in a row (now i have 30% wr)
@@zimon6886 if you only have a low amount of games (low sample size) performance of teammates/enemies doesn't mean anything. when you get to a higher amount of games, things will usually even out. there 's definitely not an abundance of smurfs and boosted people running around in gold, just due to the sheer amount of players in that elo bracket. I think gold is the 2nd most populated mmr after silver. people being able to reach 100% winrate on dozens of games until masters is not a coincidence. if you play enough games which is probably anything from a 100 and up, you're next to the only deciding factor when it comes to whether you climb or not. it's not technically impossible to lose 20 games in a row with the majority of the fault falling on your teammates, but the odds are probably as likely as dream's cheated enderpearl droprates. like I mentioned, even if you're really bad (e.g. negative winrate in gold) you can probably still climb due to the above mentioned systems being in place and the fact that your mmr often doesn't tank hard enough for you to lose more lp than you gain. tl;dr if you're in gold and you've played more than just a couple games, you're just a gold level player. it's that easy.
@@SolaceV9 well i only played around 60 games so far xd But after placement games most people reach their last seasons elo pretty fast, so i felt very frustrated As i said i had a 30% wr, it wasnt like 0/20, but those games felt like my problem i talked about And yes there were games where i was part of why we lost xd
Wait, why did he say he gets around $100 per month? At 7:28 Don says the average monthly salary there is $30 per month, and the guy gets $65 per day, but right after the guy says he gets $100 per month.
It would be really cool if Riot contacted this guy and hired him to help them get rid of deboosters, he'd most definetly get more money and he'd help people who are victims of deboosters and bots.
