@Javier Antonio The trick is to stall the more time wasted the more the more money they lose because they could be getting money from someone else. Eventually they just take the 200 pesos and leave. And to never offer the money right away.

Totally normal. All of my in-laws are from Guadalajara and Tijuana. They keep some crappy cars to take down there, even swap out the rims and tires before hand too. Of course that includes bringing a well hidden stash of cash besides on your person. I've heard enough from them that I have zero incentive to ever go to Mexico.

This is disgusting, although I have to say that I paid $170 to a PO in New York to let me go and 24pk of beer and a cheap battle of tequila in Florida to get out of tickets, so this happens everywhere in the world! Of course some places happened more often then others. I hope this dude reported this crime, because there are agencies in MX against this behavior, I hope he didn’t do this just for the views.
