When we did Little Mermaid last year backstage we’d all act out every single song last year. I fun experience was watching scuttle twerk to Under the Sea
I was in Legally Blonde and every night we would all line up at the back of the wings behind the stage and sing the lyrics and Dance 😂 it sounded amazing from the audience because there was like 40 of us in the cast all singing 😂
But we also tried to copy her singing quietly but she had an opera voice (more or less and she was 16) it was fun she would go "little girrrrllls" and we would then go on " you cheated no I didn't! You did too. SHUT UPPPPPPPPP"
Just a warning Black Friday is not that starkidy (yes Im too lazy to make a good sentence) but it was very good but not like TGWDLM (this just my opinion so don't be mad please)
-Watching someone explain what a mic belt was really threw me back to being 6 years old on my first tech week -we use the sky is so blue! (Instead we use ‘I lo-ove to sing’ -the Diane content is very important thank you -JON DOES THE VOICE LIVE???!!! -you’re killing it, keep killing it, break a leg next week ily
please tell me I’m not the only one listening to the background noise and keeping a close eye on every shot to see if I can grasp any part of this hypefest before the yt release drops-
Ok but can we talk about the music in this?! I haven’t seen the show but the harmonies sound SO TIGHT and beautiful just from this video. Also the instrumental in the background at 5:21 gives me chills. I cannot wait for this to come out on RU-vid so I can see it!
I feel so lucky to have been able to see it live on opening weekend. It was so incredibly amazing. Thanks to all the cast for a wonderful show. Thanks especially to curt for talking to my friends and I for a good like 10 min. This show is ground breaking and the music is astounding.
ur mum TWO? Man I can't even buy one lmao guess I gotta wait. How much did you like the show and songs, though?? I've seen a few people say that they tried to fit in too many different characters' storylines so I'm just curious to hear more opinions
IDoStuff i didn’t think that at all! i kept going back to listen to all of the songs because they literally slapped. it was sooo good. it didn’t necessarily have a main character? but i don’t think they tried fitting “too many storylines”. i like how they spread the songs evenly between characters though!
I saw the show on Thursday and was so sad I wasn't able to see you after! I literally could not take my eyes off of you the whole performance! You have such a wonderful energy that shows in all of your movement omg Thank you for sharing this bts it's so cool to see how all your hard work made for such a wonderful end result!
I’ve just watched in on YT and it’s one of favourite shows yet!!! all the references and the costumes and the SET and all the actors are just wowwwww so talented THE FINALE GIVES ME C H I L L S I love ittttt
Absolutely Amazing show! You were all brilliant! My ticket expired, and I can't wait for the YT release! Oh and hope you were able to get your wallet situation sorted. :)
Omg it’s so cool to see your perspective after watching the RU-vid release last night! Congratulations to everyone who made this amazing show possible!!!
The mic belts rocketed me back to high school when we were doing a production of chorus line and no one thought to make mic belts until at least halfway through tech week. I had to go around with another running crew person and cut out a length of elastic for all the actors so their mics didn't fall out of their leotards while dancing.
I hope y’all do another show in LA because I live somewhat close to LA, and I only recently became a fan of Starkid. So I hope that one day I’ll be able to see a starkid show live but for now I’m fine chilling in my room and watching Trail to Oregon for the 4th time
i seriously recommend buying the digital ticket for anyone who hasn't seen it yet!! it's $15 but it's so worth it!!! i was switching between literal shock and full out crying the entire time
This brings me back to a show called the quest we did a weird vocal warmup called Shea Shea cool aye I miss the show now we re working on a show called under milkwood
this video made me so happy! it reminded me of the musical i participated in earlier this year (which was actually my first!!) & i can't wait to become more involved in musical theatre in the future :)
You're a sweetheart, Curt. I'm glad you get so much out of performing; it makes it more meaningful for us audience members. Thank you for your hard work!
