I just want to thank you for the time it takes to post and make these videos. I'm an automotive technician however I enjoy watching heavy equipment repair. Sometimes it makes my job feel easier not having to work on all that big heavy greasy crap. I follow Jimmy making it work and we talk to each other throughout the week outside of RU-vid. He posts videos of is day-to-day life as an automotive technician. Saturday is spent editing and uploading his weekly content. Hours and then on Sundays goes back to the shop he works at and has a segment about restoring an old Chevy truck. I don't know how the guy stays married... so I applaud you and everybody else that does these RU-vid videos I know it's a lot of work I cannot imagine uploading my day to day life of repairing customers vehicles. I've been twisting the iron for 43 years and I just want to thank you for your videos
Please don’t stop making videos. You are a joy to watch. If you stop RU-vid wins and accomplishes what they wanted. I understand you need to make money and I am definitely willing to pay membership. Hi Warren, your message at the beginning of the video really bummed me out at first. I thought, man they killed another one of us! Then I got pissed. Man, this country is in bad shape, our gov't. is working against us, corporations are bleeding us dry, and no one seems to mind or care. I have been a mechanic for 42 years. Dealer tech', for KW, American La France, Cat, Chrysler, had a few years on Aircraft too. I have never seen it this bad. people that don't go out of their office building or sit on the couch all day and get welfare don't see it. They think everything is fine. The place I was working at for the last 12 years just closed down last September. we had more work than we could do. We couldn't get anyone that would show up to work every day or had so much baggage, or on dope and we couldn't use them. when the shop closed, I began my own thing. Man, it's hard. especially now. As far as setting up a member's plan, If I was in your shoes, and I tread lightly here, because one sure way to piss me off is to say, "if I was you" or 'You need to..." so all I will say is, DO it! and don't think of it as begging or working your subs for money. Think more of it as a way for us to give you a tip for a service rendered. Your vids have helped me fix more than one vehicle, the Power stroke stuff you did years ago was a big help. another thought is you had put a link to your PayPal a few times and I sent you a few gifts, you might start doing that again, a lot of people don't know someone can do that. You tube don't pay shit, and I like to support the channels I like, because I know they don't make anything off it. I know what you mean about the Time/money issue. when you are self-employed, there is only so much time each day, and you have to get paid for as much of it as you can if it is going to work. I started a channel a few years ago, just some DCS flight sim stuff and some amp repair stuff I do also. 9 whole subscribers, lol. I have met some successful creators that have given me some tips lately, You Tube is not as easy as everyone thinks, one thing they have all said is do live streams, even short ones seem to really help the algorithm find you. and shorts also seem to be hot right now. just food for thought. but you probably know this, as you have 120,000 subs and are much more successful than I. Definitely if that wasn’t the goal and money was then I do not blame you for stopping. There have been many videos where you have mentioned this frustration and I always said to myself, no please don’t stop, but I only enjoy being here if you do. I retired from welding six years ago. I was self employed for about 20 years so I’m with you on the time and money thing. We cut cable TV several years ago. My wife now streams everything with my IT help. Lol. All I watch now is RU-vid and believe me it is a love hate relationship. I hate the way they treat sensible content providers. I have yet to pay for a prescription, but you can count me in if you decide to start that. In fact I will look at how to send some monthly money to your channel. My wife pays for a lot of apps on her TV so I can surely pay some for a channel I’ve come to love. Sorry for the long comment.
I would gladly subscribe, the wealth of information that you have and share is like none other. I’m not a heavy equipment mechanic, I have been a Toyota mechanic for 36 years and I Love to watch a very proficient mechanic that knows how the real world works. Most people have no idea how much knowledge and investment in tools that it takes to do what you do. It’s sad that RU-vid doesn’t understand the real world and how people really are, everyone has an opinion and everyone should be able to speak their own mind without being censored. It's rare I'd consider a membership, but for your content I would make an exception. Your skills are amazing, your content is great, and your values are spot on.
Memberhips and/or Patreon would hopefully compensate for being cancelled. With 120K subscribers you should be able to make decent money out of this. Your content is great and you're a hard working and honest man that deserves every cent you can earn from it.
You're a goddamn good mechanic, and those people over there are lucky to have you . I put up hay out on Cross road for 12 years back in the 80s, I drove and worked on a lot of the same stuff that you're working on, and I know what a pain in the ass it can be .
If I have to dish out a few bucks to view your great content I shall do it gladly. Thanks for all the years of videos and the struggle is real folks. On call field work is hard work and compensation has to be foremost important. Working your hands to the bone 12-16 hours a day is no cakewalk.

I don’t know if you will read this but here goes. About 5 years ago I did a search on how to fix a hydraulic cylinder on a compact tractor and your channel came up. I have watched every video since I came across your videos. I didn’t really understand how to do shit when it came to anything mechanical. Watching you problem solve machines taught me that at least I should try. I’m 61 and had a fucking government job I really started to hate because of the bullshit politics and politicians who were driving policy on public safety. Anyway, thank you for your service to us out here! I would support anything you decide.

hello warren. i just had to comment . first of all thanks for all the great videos, i enjoyed every single one of them. you are a brilliant technician and your ability to understand the most complex situation can only leave the rest of us astounded. i have never seen this kind of knowledge explained to me in such a way that i can follow how you diagnose these difficult broken machines and simply fix them without even the slightest flinch of the hard graft you put yourself through. i will be totally disappointed if you were to stop videoing and thanks to your wife for persuading you to do this last one. with all that said ,i fully understand your predicament,youtube just cann t compete with your ability to earn good money. no real surprize there with your capabilities but if i could just say, warren you have a devoted fan base of followers that would pay you for these great videos,probably not able to compete with your hourly rate but willing to pay a subscription or whatever. i understand you have such a talant that can easily earn you bigger money elsewhere but your public loves your videos and your viewpoints. i blame youtube for your dispondancy but please try to see beyond youtube, you are the best out there at what you do without doubt. forget the criticism and remember the rest of us totally admire what your doing there

As a young Ag mechanic I’ve learned so much by watching your videos over the last 3 years. Always nice to see how experienced mechanics do things and approach a situation. But I completely understand the financial side of it. You’ve gotta be compensated for your time because our time is already taken advantage of as mechanics anyway.

Please keep in mind lots of us enjoy your videos because they are "real life" not "non-reality t.v.". We know you enjoyed your mine crawls, sounded like you had a really good time, stepping back in time. It's your decision, but even if you stepped back to doing a video a week or once every two weeks we would gladly "tune in" to see how your doing and what your tackling. You must admit your recording have saved you a couple of times in the past with "job issues" so recording what your doing has paid off by extension. Warren I'm from New Zealand, I run a C120 Freightliner with a C15. This year marked 51 years jammin gears (although it's a Smartshift 18 speed these days) and I have no Intention of quitting. Watching every video you post has become an addiction, not just for the mechanical content but also for the common sense attitude that you promote. If I could I would cross the Pacific ocean to have you service my rig. That said I totally understand where your coming from regarding your channel. Another favorite of mine is Australian based and he is in the exact same predicament. Put some numbers up re membership and let's go from there.
