Have a watch of the "LOST" yt channel videos, previously called " Land of smiles" before you go down the resort route, building a house is risky enough and you wont see much change from a few million baht, i would still stick to the rental property you had in phetchabun, ive watched quite a few thailand/farang/thai partner house builds and its far from cheap or easy to do even at thai prices, thai women may be careful with their money, but not so much with yours,. I know a canadian guy who built his own house right on the beach in deep south east thailand, his thai wife gambled the house book and lost !, he had to pay over 3 million baht to get the book and ownership of the house back, he must be loaded or stupid as he's still with her and he's since built a swimming pool there, .Just be savy, we dont need any more train wrecks on you tube,. cheers,.
It all sounds idyllic but the reality is that instead of taking care of animals you will be taking care of her and her family, you really need to think about what you are doing, if she’s from isaan then her family will probably be poor as soon as you enter their lives they will be looking to you for financial support any money you have will be quickly depleted by her family, just be careful what you wish for
