Lips has always been the hsrdest category for me to declutter since the undertones are so variable. But its so satisfying to see this ruthless declutter
I know you say you don’t wear a red lip a lot but with your coloring and your eyes…red is an awesome color for you. I know it’s bold but sometimes it is so pretty and a lip can put me into a mood. 😂
I love your declutters, other's declutters are sooo cathartic. My own is....exasperating. I'm forced to ask myself questions like, how many lipliners do I actually need? But for me it's really about the space.
It's so interesting what people keep. As much as I have in common with your preferences for base and eyes, could not be more different when it comes to lips. 100% on a Dior base with a light touch and green or purple or neutral eyes... But I put that with liquid lipsticks every day (also, am a nurse and I refuse to give up lipstick with mask-wearing) but give me bold red, or chocolate, or mauves. No gloss. No balm. No oils for day. Can't have my face smeared. We have opposite lip collections. :)
This was very realistic but you definitely just sat down and got straight to business! I think that you are going to be successful with finishing lip products because you kept only things you love. I hope you continue to do a project pan with us too that would be fun to watch and I think you could do really well now that you have honed in on your collection
What I honestly find amazing in this video and some other decluttering videos is, how much they remember about products. Like, for normal people like me, its easy to make a mental note of your best to worst products when you only own maybe 5-10 lipsticks. I feel like if I was in this scenario where I'm going through decluttering hundreds of make-up items, I'd be like, "oh damn what was my opinions on this one again. I need to go check my review video, etc."
Pillow Talk looks terrible on me! There’s like this grayish/brownish undertone going on and it just looks blah. I gave mine away too. Awesome declutter!
If I decluttered everything that was expired according to the label I wouldn’t have any make up left, so just the cream products I’m careful with. I enjoy getting rid more than buying. It’s a use up year for me.

The Give Beauty lipstick, you just need to screw it back in. It’s made to be able to take that part out and get a refill so you don’t need to repurchase the case so you just screw them in and out. It’s not broken
I need to repurchase Millie, I used mine up like a year ago. Recently I was looking back at looks on my makeup IG and wondering what lip I was wearing in some of them and why I stopped wearing it because I loved it- realized it was Millie! I miss it!
I'm so proud of you and can't even imagine the overwhelming feeling having to decide. I'm a sucker for a good lip oil or sheer tinted lippie just for moisture and lipsticks in the total opposite color house. I like the true blue reds, burgundy's, browns, plums and eggplant. I say it costed me to much to get my lips tattooed with color and the pain to just put a nude shade on them. LOL #SamSquad💄 Loads of Love❣
First off, well played my friend. As a fellow neutral lover I get the subtle differences in color/ formula, but you did it. You rationalized those dupes right out the door! Second, when you reached for that Huda liquid lip, I thought, OMG, who named a lip color " crusty"? Now I really want a cosmetic line so I can name a shade "Crusty".

It's like there are times where I am so into lip products so I buy all the lip stuff then wonder WTH, how did I accumulate this many lipsticks 🙄🙄😅😅. Butttttt Sam I've been watching a channel called Cosmetic Up. She takes lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes and other stuff that are broken, colors aren't right or lipsticks that are messed up, etc....... Then she will sterilize, remix, melt down and put the remade products in new packaging. It's cool to watch, she'll mix shades of lipstick to create a better shade, so you could take a couple of your favorite formulas, pick out the shades you don't like and mix them to create a special Sam shade. It's also an ASMR type of video but I've learned so much watching these videos! I know not everyone has time to do this but if you paid a lot of money for certain products, this could be a solution.
