i wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the overwhelming love and support on my last 2 videos. this has been a really transformative time for me and I am learning so much about myself through this process. i'm looking forward to pivoting my content on this channel and opening up conversations about so many other topics i have been wanting to discuss. your support means the world to me and always me to do what i love to do

This seems to be a "trend"...high-end influencers having their awakening and getting rid of a lot of their stuff.

Ladies think 2x before doing this. We all go through phases an you should not be buying luxury items for investment or competition. You buy those items to enjoy them.

Those are some very nice bags that you are getting rid of. Once this "quiet luxury" trend is over, influencers will be rebuilding their bag collection.

Ive said before that this seems disingenuous. Its the trend now to be a minimalist

What a rant, the whole video is nothing but a bunch of hypocrite comments. Made a whole video of why I got rid of my closet while adding links for the products in the description. People, do what makes you happy rather than listening to this bs influencers.

If it makes you happy to rid yourself of these items that’s great. I own mine because I enjoy them an acquired them late in life because I enjoy them. They aren’t a sign for me.

Having a healthy balance of everything in life is amazing! For me I only have 4 designer bags bought years ago & I love them but don't have any desire to indulge into luxury shopping any more. Hope you can find your own balance and live the happiest life with your lovely family 🌟

I see why you’re doing this purge because you’ve consumed quite a lot of luxury items for your channel it seems..but don’t project it onto others by saying that we are in competition with other women . Some of us just like what we like and don’t care about what others think 🤔.

They say "flashy is trashy" . I don't think this quiet luxury is going anywhere soon. Simplicity and humility hold immense power. It's forever.

This is another way of influencing just the opposite of what influencers do. Why announce it if you weren’t trying to influence others to do the same. I believe everyone knows that designer items does not and should not define who your are. Buy whatever you like because you like it. At the end of the day it’s all vanity just like all the other tangible things in this world.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again this is the next trend and step towards “quite luxury”! You’re just framing it in a self awareness type of way! If this is what makes you happy then so be it! I have never purchased anything in my life because social media said I needed it! Designer items do not define who I am and never will! Best of luck to you.

why selling everything when you can keep them for your kids ? Or grandkids? Is an opposite extreme from over purchasing with a similar reason. Buying to feel happy and then selling to feel happy. None of this 2 extremes solves the problem. In both cases the person is relying on manipulation with material items in order to get rid of a deeper feeling. I went through both stages being in therapy. Holding into items that you already have and focusing on the feelings can be an option. I regret getting rid of some items being in this stage. It didn’t solve anything but I lost things that brought me memories.

People complaining because this is a new trend... and if so, what? This is the message influencers precisely have to communicate to us all. Bravo Niki, I support and celebrate your transformation. Your example is big inspiration for many girls out there.

I have quite a few luxury handbags and I feel the most comfortable and free when I wear something simple like my longchamp mini backpack. I don’t have to worry about damaging the leather or scratching the hardware and I can enjoy myself with my kids more. At the end of the day material items don’t make us happy and we won’t take any of it with us when we pass.

Be careful not to dump too much too fast or you will have regrets. as women mature (and some never do, but I digress) most learn that materiel things are just that, things. Things you can not bring with you when you die and may not have any value or meaning to those left behind. Keep ones you love and use them

What kind of car do you drive? Land Rover, Mercedes, Porche, Jaguar, Lexus? Will you be swaping it out for a non-luxury brand without a logo? Will you be selling your luxury home which is also a status symbol?

Wow! I have been feeling this way since the covid started. I haven't used my designer bags since 2020. I haven't purchased anything expensive lux ever since. I am not into showing my stuff anywhere...I also quit Instagram. I feel so much better without looking at those nonsense Instagram ads coming at me 24/7 urging me to consume more and more...

I got these from years ago, and were collecting dust and when I would force myself to wear them, the Hermes bags were so heavy, I regretted many times buying them. I feel the same way especially after seeing what is happening to the people of Gaza! The strength they have when loosing EVERYTHING made me look at life differently and appreciate the simple things of life like my kids my family the food I’m able to eat the safety I live in!! My mum did something similar many years ago, clearing her closets, keeping two bags for me. As I liked them I wear them occasionally they are battered and well worn, and very beautiful. I’m not precious with them. My mother wasn’t. I have never bought a designer bag for myself.

I have always wondered about people who crave that lifestyle. Would they have anything interesting to say or can they bring anything to the table in intelligent conversation. Yes, I do have high end bags and etc. I love maybe 5 of them. I have sold one of my Birkins. I did feel proud of myself when I didn't grieve the loss of it. Hahaha. Anyway, I love this post. This is so great! It also can be stressful to have a bunch of expensive goods that need to be protected and maintained. I really just don’t want to have tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of luxury goods at home. I’d be constantly worried about theft, house fires, floods, etc.
