I was going to say a similar thing! How you talk fast and bounce around on what you're talking about, and what you said re watching TV and needing something else to do. I was diagnosed last year with ADHD, and I highly suspect I'm on the spectrum as well. Female traits for both are poorly described. Its only when I started watching content from AuDHDers that I considered it properly, I was almost gaslighting myself too that probably didnt 'have' those traits. It's brought so much clarity and has helped me find more compassion for myself. I highly recommend reading (or listening, it's on audible) Divergent Mind by Jenara Nerenberg.

@@clairypie I was diagnosed with ADHD first when I was 27, and just recently diagnosed with Autism at 31. I completely gaslit myself regarding a diagnosis too! I never realized just how heavily I masked, and figured my symptoms were just my adhd and anxiety. But after getting blasted with autism content on TikTok (I guess TikTok does know us better than we know ourselves lmao) my entire life suddenly started to make so much sense. I never fully realized how much pressure society puts on girls from SUCH a young age. We are forced to conform, sit still and be pretty, while boys are commended for their obsession with a special interest. That’s why I think so many women don’t get diagnosed - we’ve been building our masks since we were little girls, trying everything we can to fit in so we aren’t ostracized by our peers. It’s such a hardened mask, we often don’t even realize we are wearing one in the first place. Which makes getting a diagnosis reallllly hard lol.

@@kyliejeffery8008 yes, the fatigue. That’s exactly it. And the cognitive fog that comes with. It’s a bone-tired that has no words to truly describe it. I wish you all the best, from the bottom of my heart. With sepsis, you literally feel death running through your veins, I don’t know how else to describe it. Autism IS a spectrum, but it is not a linear line of a little or a lot autistic. It is instead, a colourful pie chart with traits, and you are low/medium/high support needs or low/high masking, not “high functioning”

Thank you! He was lucky to catch it early-ish and was already on antibiotics for a different procedure which I think is what made the difference. I've heard so many horrible sepsis stories - truly bone-chilling

Yeah we do this before the vet usually and used to do it at the groomer but her groomer said she became a bit aggressive which is out of character for her - maybe because she felt like she wasn’t in full control but was still scared? She suggested we stop giving it to her before those appointments so we did!

@laurencurtis oh interesting! Some cats we get in for exams can actually end up overriding the gabapentin, adrenaline makes them metabolize it faster, my cat being one of them. We have steadily had to up her dose to where I have to dose her 50mgs the night before and 100mgs the day of! O.o She managed to get her muzzle off last time I took her on for her anal glands 🤦‍♀️ but I guess I would too in that case..... Anyways, there's also fluoxetine and trazodone, but those have to be given consistently instead of just the day of the appointment :-/ there are also holistic options too. My mom is a certified dog trainer and has used homeopathic options in the past. I believe even CBD gummies. I can ask what she's used if you'd like. BTW, just to say...I have been watching your tutorials and GRWM for YEARS! Love it!

I think because it’s being spoken about online a lot, mainly on TikTok, so people are learning about it (in regards to how it affects women especially) for the first time

How I feel about Reece being sick and the ADHD is completely separate although I’m sure there are crossovers. Respectfully I don’t think you know me well enough to know whether or not I do or don’t :)
