If you close your eyes and just listen, you can hear one MX bike and a bunch of guys mowing their lawns😂👍. I love that you’re rocking a proper 2 T. Bravo!
Reminds me of the time McGrath showed up to race the last Christmas GP at Carlsbad raceway. MC did a strange thing, he didn't ride around the pack and line up in the front (where the expert/pro's line up) instead he came up from the very back, making people part ways like Moses parting the Red Sea. People were patting him on the back and getting high-fives. He lapped me on my 2nd lap and in the excitement I tried to stick to his rear tire. I matched his speed into a 180 degree turn, washed the front, highsided and catapulted myself about 40-50' away from the track. LOL....Still one of the coolest things i've ever seen a Pro rider do. #LEGEND
Just lik MCs idle used to do at Carlsbad- Start last and work the pack ; mostly still win but sometimes get 2nd in 1st moto then start regular for 2nd moto and win...
@@waynehearst317 El Cajon’s : Rick Johnson started that; I think - But I used to luv Carlsbad - Smoked all in amateur; but lik Most; crashed very bad - And watched a lot of my competition become Successful figures...factory riders... thx brian 90-94
Saw a few comments saying he's racing amateurs. Na, these guys seem to be the, "local pros". This video puts in perspective how much better even a *veteran* from national pro -tier is. As far as the comments of Chad not really trying, bare in mind, Chad is not on a factory bike anymore, nor is he training for a championship. I bet Chad is moreso enjoying the experience: teasing the guys in the front, while at the same time allowing them to learn a thing or two about how to ride more effectively, (think: 'follow the leader'). It would be an honor to share the track with a pro and have him push you to develop your skill! It's exciting to know Chad is doing this and staying involved with the sport! To the YZ 250 dude who posted this: you are fast! Thank you for sharing this experience. Now, if only James was qualifying for Loretta's too... Bonus points if he ever does it on a KX250 #259
Great point that not many understand. We've been racing Glen Helen for 20 years and have seen an 18th-20th place AMA Motocross pro completely mop the floor with everyone in the "Expert" class at several different clubs here.
Chad was just cruising. Can’t you tell. He stopped pushing hard when he was getting a gap. Prolly so he wouldn’t get locked up and sore so bad. So yeah that’s getting smoked.
@@derickchristensen3219 If you keep up with the videos then yes you will know that. So you research or just watch the videos as they aren’t really released in in order and I notice that because I find myself watch older videos from the earlier in the same weekend. Chad literally decided to ride after moths with no training and was able to do morning races day practice and then the race. In the videos they show this. I am a nice guy and a normal humble human being, I don’t go around say thing I just make up that’s lying and I am a horrible liar and I really dislike liars. Just be a everyday one of the boys and we will have no problem getting along and you will learn that when I say something I do my research If I am not completely positive. So with that out of the way… Sorry, I apologize for not introducing myself earlier, I am Ross just a fellow rider that loves the same sport and it’s just as much your sport as it is mine. I also felt like I needed to double check my comments since you seemed to think I was wrong but no, I stand by them and I was just statting the obvious and alos Chad is no where the in shape level he is when he was at if he would again race Pro. You should also watch the first moto they are nowhere to be found in the cameras shot. So the rider that posted the the video wasn’t lying when he said he go smoked by Chad Reed, I mean who wouldn’t want to be. You get to say you lined up with one of the greats. I remember in practice at Glen Helen way back I was younger on a year 250 and Emig was coming fast so I moved to the outside and slowed down some to let him by and he decided to use the same line and rut as I did and I got stuffed by Jeffro in that corner. It was unnecessary and some people were kinda like WTH dude/jeffro. That was the only time I got stuffed in a corner and came out with a smile on my face. Lol 😂. But hey man we are just chatting about the sport we live to love. So I appologize if I seemed rude and for rambling on.
@@rossybruh9939 bro you know who this guy is it’s Matt burkeen if he had the money he’d be pro he rips a two stroke in every pro am or a class event in tn Virginia South Carolina Georgia etc mega series ultra series southern all stars dude is a tank watched him race indoors never seen anyone ride a 250 2 smoke like he did at Morristown arena cross think he finished 2nd right behind a guy that was pro
Could y’all imagine showing up to qualify for Lorettas and end up beating Chad Reed wow that would be sweet. Wonder what kinda lap times he was running. That’s so so cool for reedy to do that!!!
If it makes you feel any better Chad said on his channel he hadn’t even ridden in weeks that was his first time on the bike at practice in like couple months. He’s only qualifying in case his kids qualify he don’t want to go to lorettas and not race himself but if they don’t qualify he’s not even going this is all for his kids!
Good ride young man. What a treat being on the gate with Chad. He still rides good for an older chap, who doesn't really ride much at this point in his life.
How cool to race CR22. That's bad a$$. On his channel even said he went full send for the first time in a long time. (I'm sure he throttled down a bit after getting a gap though.) Pretty cool that you're racing him on a YZ250, oh the irony that he's on an orange 4 banger. LOL
@@earl6969 man I’m only 26 and I’ve had plenty of problems trying to beat mike brown, I think this year at muddy creek was the first time I’ve ever really felt like I truly had him covered all weekend, so don’t feel bad 😂😂
@@ropedb for sure at the end. He was using every line on the track hoping he would make a mistake and go around. That line over the bails was a little extreme tho 😂.
Don’t get me wrong I’m a Chad Reed fan but that was a 450 against a 250 and by the looks of it if it was equal bikes then the YZ250 probably would have won.
Good ride dude. If you were on comparable bikes, that would have been a race. Reed should ride a 250 2 stroke at these races. He won’t, you’ve got him scared….. you need a 450!
Chad Reed isn't that fast really 🤣🤣 people look fast when there isn't a fast person out there. Stewart, villipoto, Eli, Ricky. It makes him look good riding with those boy scouts.🤣🤣
