Hey guys, Adam here and today I'm getting some Spartan Pre-Emergent Herbicide down at my old man's place. I also give the Kikuyu a cut with the new 20" Scott Bonnar. Keep it green.
Any chance Adam you can swing around to Clint's place and help him out with his Lawn? Because you have the magic touch, that Tahoma 31 is looking damn good!
The very helpful Waterproof website says the Rvans put out 16mm per hour, so 15 minutes is only 4mm, but the Spartan label says water in with 6mm. I like to do the full 6mm immediately, even though theoretically you have 7 days to do it in.
Hi Craig, I’m using the 50cm solo brass wand and the solo 60cm twin boom with the yellow nozzles that come included. All available on the Lawnhub website :)
Can I apply Spartan, Wetter 600, Monument and Primo Max in one hit? … and do you mind me asking where you got the overalls? I assume they’re disposable.
Spartan and Wetter can be applied together, Monument and Primo Maxx can be applied together but not all in one tank. I would separate the two applications over 24 hours. I got them from bunnings in the tool section.
Hi Richard, I have used Glyphosate around the edges which for the moment has killed any potential invading Kikuyu. During the cooler season, the rye I plan to seed next will hopefully become well established around the apron. I can then use selective herbicides if need be but I will make sure I fill you guys in along the way!
Hi Mark, it is available currently in Victoria and New South Wales. We were lucky enough to get our hands on 50m2 of Tahoma here is South Australia for testing but it is not currently available here. I am hoping a Turf Farm will pick it up though as it has exceeded my expectations so far!
I used 40ml to 5ltrs last year and almost killed my whole lawn!i applied yesterday for this year at half rate 20ml to 5 ltrs hopefully i won’t kill it this time so be warned
You need to be Einstein to understand how to apply this stuff!! Depends on how fast you walk when applying ,how far your nozzle is from grass surface etc etc ,be careful! Also states in my directions to apply by “ coarse “ heavy droplets not fine mist as your applying there
