Thank you! So many people just think downstream swinging and you showed so much more. I rarely swing but I fish wet flies often. I also rarely cast to more then one seam and I have found wet flies to be often much more productive during hatches then dries or nymphing. I fish upstream and I need a longer rod to cast up and mend. Then I will then dump the line and bring the wet flies down stream into a single seam and then do a lift at a fishy spot. I also will cast wet flies to pocket water with a long rod and a short cast upstream again. The reason for a softer tip is to help to mend for down stream and also to impart action to a cast of flies of 3 or 4 flies. I will also fish wet flies as an emerger with my point fly being submerged with a light 2mm weight, first dropper being a few inches bellow and my third dropper being on the surface, this works well especially during caddis or ISO hatches. I feel like we have forgotten so much about wets and how veristile they are.
