Sorry for the late reply, I think it depends on how much capital you have to start with. First goal would be a high stat queen you can match the mood of.
You get 'queen upgrade' shards in game. You can get these from hunting on lands or in the store they will pop up occasionally in the VIP section (they cost HXD of course).
You can get daily experience by sending bees out on missions and completing the tasks shown in the "tasks" button while in your hive or exploring the universe!
If you go to Hivemind.honey.land and go to your account there is an option to deposit HXD right on your account screen. I believe there is a way to do it through the game as well
Genesis Queens are literally the worst way to spend your money at the current floor price lol You can buy 15 Gen 1 Level 20 virgin queens for the same price. There are only going to be 8 universes over the span of the project and you get 18 breeds per Gen 1 queen.
So there are generations 1, generations 2 and generations 3 bees. You can't breed these from gen z bees, but you can save up your hxd to buy one. Genesis is it's own generation and are the only bees capable of breeding generation 1 bees, so they're a lot more expensive and only 5500 total. (Compared to the 90,000+ generation assets).
