The window covers are very pretty. If the trim is an electric tape they come in colors, it will be flexible and durable for pressing on and clinging better.
Renee - you were cracking me up with your “did I tell you I wasn’t crafty” comments. Girl, you are crafty! You just made window coverings….that is pretty crafty in my book! Love the fabric colors - they look great! Looking forward to more crafty stuff - lol
If you saw those window covers up close you’d know how uncrafty I really am! I’m doing lots of stuff out of my comfort zones these days. I might even learn a thing or three 😂 💜
Renee, I so appreciate your willingness to be so totally real and human!! You said you are out of your comfort zone AND you're doing it. Saw you on Lulu's Way and I am excited to go on your journey as well!! 💕
Great that I am seeing this video! I just made my window covers last week. I made a pattern with flexible white paper that had a shiney like texture. I was able to put it on the inside and trace the outline with a pencil. I cut them out and then fitted again to make sure no gaps. i layed them out on the reflextics and taped it and then cut them. Perfect fits- I am so happy. I haven’t added my black material yet, but I will! Great video Renee!💜
Glad you liked it! I’m happy to hear that your window covers came out well. I still have to make covers for my back windows. They’re much smaller so I’m hoping that I don’t have any issues making them. The flexible paper is a great idea. It adds a bit of sturdiness to them so that they fit more snug in the windows. Thanks for watching!💜
Hi Renee, your video showed up in my feed. I’m starting my journey in October so I’m excited to get all the tips I can. Looking to see more of your posts. 🙌🏾
Hi Renee, first time seeing one of your videos and I have just subscribed. Your window covers are beautiful!!! I was thinking the purple trim would look awesome. Can't wait to see your next video. It's nice meeting you.
Let the hot glue gun be your friend. Just use a hot glue to put on your trip..I hem everything with my hot glue gun from hemming jeans, hemming my curtains...everything.
You look crafty to me, I learned something from you, I would have not thought of this. Of course I wanted to jump through the screen and help you, the wind was not trying to help lol You should call this a day in the life of purple Renee’ 😊❤ Your pal Susie
Thanks! I was going to look for fabric but when I saw the pillow cases I figured, why not?! Of course there was no wind until I started working on this! 💜💜
Hi Renée LaVon here Just came across your video. I also subscribed. I'm also a Pisces, and I love the stone amethyst. Purple is just one of my favorite colors. I think you're doing a wonderful job with your windows covers. Don't make the mistake I did, cover the wrong side of one of my reflective to my passenger window. you have to make sure you put your black covering on the right side of the window you wanted to go on. Are it will be backwards.😊 💜
Exactly! I learned that lesson with my SUV a couple years ago. I made sure to mark my reflectix while they were still in the windows to avoid getting it wrong! 💜
They came out so pretty Renee! Thanks for teaching me how to put the material on! I literally just made some a few days ago and didn't measure either🤣 After watching a girl measure hers in the rain in a very tiny car, (Hilarious video) I Just crammed some tissue wrapping paper in there and did a rough outline. Anyway, it's nice to hear you talk and do your thing! Very fun💜💜💜
Just started following you. I want to get a van to build but hubby doesn't want me to. Maybe you could give me some tips when i do get one. Those vans are so expensive.❤
