I want to thank you. Your instruction is really good. -straight forward, great content and progression, and really effectively organized for a novice with the equipment like me.
Oh and by the way anybody using this to record with if you run your stereo left and right into a couple of good quality preamps and a good stereo 5 band parametric EQ into a quality analog mixer with parametric eq, this will greatly improve and enhance the natural sound and fatten give a natural quality to the drums and make them sound like real drums before sending your drum signal to your audio interface. I used to fooll a lot of people with my mix's . They didn't even know it was a drum machine until I told them
Hello ! Is it possible to have a countdown before the first loop starts? For example, when you press play, you have 4 metronome beats at the tempo and the loop starts. Thank you.
Can you hook this to an amp and or a powered speaker to get the sound of the Alesis and my guitar through each sound device? Using the tones developed in my Katana amp?
Hi I've been using the leases SR16 425 years. I never learned how to program it but usually I could find a user preset good work for the song I was trying to write and by using pattern a and pattern B and then using the fill button I could get by with that . My question does the sr18 have more user presets in different beats than the SR16? I'm being 32-bit technology is the natural sound quality any better ?
Thank you for this Demo. Can this be used as a MIDI clock? I was thinking of getting this and slaving a Ditto X4 Looper to it. But Idk if this is possible.
Hi, thank you, I'm glad it helped. To answer your question,Yes, I think so because it has a MIDI CLOCKOUT function.. Check out Page 6 (send clock value to other devices/clockout ) of the System Setup menu in the SR18 online manual from ALESIS.
Hello, I have made my first Song. I have used several patterns with the breaks (fill A - fill B) and I have a problem. The pattern that follows the breaks has a crash that doesn't sound. Only crash patterns that do not have a break fill-A or fill B in front of them are played. Do you know why this happens? thank you.
Wonder why I'm getting different volume levels with different patterns? Frustrating to have to adjust the volume all the time. Shouldnt the volume stay the same for all of the patterns?
When I create a pattern and press FILL, the beat stops and starts up when it goes to pattern B. The pre-sets let you press FILL and it actually plays a fill but not when I create my own pattern. I am trying to find out why.
Hello friend cordial greeting, I wanted to ask you if the power charger that comes with this battery is original and if it also comes with the ALESIS brand. Thank you very much in advance for your answer.
I bought one years ago with no power supply, it takes batteries but uses them up quickly unless you put it on low light background. So I switched to a multi volt power charger, about $20..✌️🎵
Anyone know if it's possible to download a backup from the SR-16 to the SR-18? Thinking of moving from a 16 to an 18 and it would be great if I could import my patterns as easily as I can to other SR-16 units.
I ended up transferring the patterns individually via midi, and I had to rebuild my song patterns and kits. Unfortunately there wasn't a way to transfer globally like you can between units of the same model.@@How2Noise
Hello to every one, I have a question: is Alesis SR18 electric drum and more? Is it an arranger too? Change it tonality if press different chords?(only bass) Thank you to your reply.
Hi Reinaldo, thankyou for your question. Yes and yes, Its a powerful little machine. Along with any drum track you can also add a bass track and a percussion track. I plan to have more videos soon on arranging patterns using song mode. Over the holidays I've been busy learning new editing software along with improving my audio, lighting and camera setup for future videos. A huge thank you to all of my subscribers for your patience, kind words, and inspiring me to make more videos. I really appreciate all of your support. Looking ahead, I have a ton of cool drum machines, effects pedals, synths, musical instruments, etc. that I plan to review in the near future. H2N.
