Great advice Damian! All 5 stages are very useful. And then at some point, listening carefully to “the masters” of guitar soloing has helped me get creative with my solos. Players such as Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, George Benson, and Mark Knopfler are just a few of my favorites. Of course, some of their easier phrasing is all I can handle at my experience level, but it’s really fun mixing up ideas. I’m really lovin’ my private lessons and my guitar journey. Keep them coming!

I don't think it takes years to start soloing. Just start where you are. Try Stage 1, and go from there. 🎸😸

Hi. Thank you for writing. There are lots of good backing tracks on RU-vid. Just look for a simple one, like, "Simple Blues in A," or something like that. "Easy Jam Track in A minor," would be another. As long as it doesn't change keys (and very few of them do), you should be able to get started. I hope this helps! 🎸👍
