In this video we look at how to use Arduino with the ThingSpeak IoT, cloud, and analytics platform. In the video we look at two use cases of ThingSpeak. For the first use case we log wireless sensor data to the cloud and perform post processing on the data using MATLAB. In the second use case we monitor a room with a wireless motion detector setup and have ThingSpeak send out a Tweet if any movement is detected in the room. I'm an student and i'm currently working on amazon alexa based home automation and your videos were of great help but as in your videos you used phant but currently its down can you help me out how to configure thingsspeak in my lambda function and hardware configuration as well.. Please help me out before my submission it means a lot.

Very interesting stuff indeed! Thanks for your time in sharing this. I was wondering (since you got the project up and running) if you could test if its working fine with an esp8266 or an eps32 dev board (both have build-in wifi). If you do this, please share the updated code. Thanks again!

Yeah it shouldn't be a hard jump to convert the code over to ESP8266 compatibility. I will try to get to that in the future and let you know

Hogordin it's pretty much the same, except you use the esp8266wifi library. There is example code for the Esp8266 if you go to the Thingspeak site.

might be a dumb question but are you actually controlling the arduino at all via the matlab code? I'm not really seeing any call for the arduino, sorry ha

No MATLAB is for post processing of the data. Does not control Arduino

I want to ask sir, if sending data on Thingspeak uses 3 nodes, each node has 2 sensors sensing pH and water level data. can it be implemented into thingspeak?

I have this line of code that I copied from an example but for some reason it randomly causes a problem where the code just starts to hang and only print out ...... delay(10); while (!client.available()) { delay(100); Serial.print("."); } Does anyone know what's going on here?
