you have another video showing a way to use projects as the 'portfolio' and use tasks and sub-tasks instead for individual projects, when would you recommend upgrading to the premium version to be able to use portfolios?
If you need the functionality of Premium (now called 'Starter) e.g. dependencies, templates, custom fields, forms etc. then it's worth upgrading rather than using these workarounds.
There is a big issue with Portfolios in my opinion. Once you create a portfolio and you add projects if you click on different projects then the projects on the sidebar just get mixed up if you dont point the mouse on the arrow. That is whether you choose to view them Alphabeticcaly, Recent or Top. Why dont they just have a small arrow to open and close portofilio and its corresponding projects or at least give us the option or at least have the portfolios on the top and projects on the bottom? Even though I am not a fan of todooist, todooist gives you that option very similar as to how folders would work.
@@minor-co good question! as in a Software release. We use Asana to track Biz requirements, and our tech teams use JIRA. Once our tech teams are able to assign a Release to an item on our backlog, it would be nice to intelligently map them to a date-bound release!
