Hi again. I'm experimenting with my Lego Spike Essential set and I've noticed certain bug. I mean color sensor behaves bit strange. It works just fine for every color except green. I mean I can make it detect green color if I use EQUAL operator block and use direct comparison i.e. if (A color=5)... but it refuses to work with event block WHEN COLOR IS and sensor block IS COLOR. I wonder if it is a software or hardware problem/bug. Is it even a bug or a feature?...
Thank you so much for the video! I see how much you enjoy the set! And it inspires! Greetings from Poland and Ukraine! [AO] Education, Armin & Oleg Pokotylo =)
Hi! considering buying this for school use. How many people can work on a project at once? are there multiple parts? Or would you say one small group at a time?
Hi! We normally have kids work in pairs for each box. One on the computer and one on the build. Kids take turns building every few steps, computer person also helps make sure build is correct. After building, both students take turns making code changes and modifying the project. Garry
Hi Gary, Great video thanks! I’m just wondering what hardware you’d recommend or find works best for using Lego Spike software? Are Android or iPads with keyboards good enough. Laptops a better option? Thanks in advance
Hi! I recommend laptops for easier typing in SPIKE python projects for older students. If you’re only teaching young kids then ipad is ok. Thanks for watching! Garry
Can I run the Spike Essential program/builds using the Spike Prime Kit? I have a 5 year-old, 8 year-old and a 10 year old and I want to get one Set that could be used for both programs. Many thanks!
I have been looking everywhere on how to python code the 3x3 led matrix. Im starting to think it is only usable in the scratch software. If you know of anything or learn anything Id love to know. Ive always wanted to make a retro pixel art display and I think these 3x3 led essentials would do great for that project. As always I love all your videos. Keep up the great work and content!
