Scott, the fact that your dad is 77 and still able to get out there and rip some lips with you is a blessing. He reminds me of my grandpa who is the same age, he wouldn't take no for an answer if I told him to keep his old self in the boat while I pushed, he would still jump in and helped! It's truly a blessing for them to be doing this at 77 years old, I know way too many people whose grandparents or parents have passed well before 77 or become stuck inside or in bed. Happy birthday Roland! Brandon congrats on outfishing these two! Beautiful bass!!!

hey Scott do u remember the show you and your dad did when he was fishing the big O and u rolled up on him in the pontoon boat and u found those bluegill on beds..i remember him u telling him "you PROMISED me I could be on your show today could be the day"when ever I see u2 together fishing I remember that that video..i met your dad once when he came out to California he signed my hat and I got a pic with him..i look star stuck in the pic..your channel's awesome and keep taking the old man out.. precious moments..keep up the great work and I really enjoy the prefish vids..

Scott, your dads birthday is exactly 10 days before my dads. 😃 I am so happy that you guys hang out and still fish together. I really enjoy the father son fishing videos. While watching this video, I decided to look up your dad on the Bassmasters website and I am just floored by his accomplishments! Brandon is hilarious. I would be just like him out there. I love fishing but i'm not very good at it, relatively new to the sport. Fished as a kid but just got into him a lot more recently. Awesome!! 3 generations of Martins fishing together and having a great time. Roland is doing well for himself to be as active and energetic as he is for 77 years old. It just shows everyone that you are never to old to get out and enjoy life and spend time with your family. Thank you guys for the great uplifting content. There is so much negative in the world today, however it is so nice to watch something uplifting and family oriented. Thanks again!!

Bill Stoger It does. I bought one the other day and they are surprisingly legit. And at 5'6 they cast super far. I'm positive it's because the line goes through the blank. It's like one giant tubular micro guide. Also, he didn't show in the vid but the rod is telescopic and you can fit the whole thing in a backpack.

Scott, I'v watched pretty much all of your videos and love them. I have (1) 6'-6 Medium with a Spinner reel on it. I also have (1) 7'-0 Medium Heavy with a Bait caster. What would you recommend using the 6'-6/spinner for? Both have braid (living in Central Fl, lots of cover) Thank you Sir!
