I've accidentally broke the bolt of the assembly, so I'd thought I'd share how I got it it off without cutting the belt and replacing a near $300 part.
Thanks a million for this video. I went to replace the alternator and realized the tensioner bolt had been broken by a previous owner. Did not know what to do until watching this video and voila. It worked!

omg my 09 camry 19mm bolt is broke too thanks ima try that because my first time doing it ugh took forever tryna squeeze the belt on and it went out again so back at it

Same problem here...fuckers are auto-zone gave me a remanufactured alternator and i had to change it again but this time I snapped the pulley n broke my damn finger ...
