The stock charge pipe was a pain to remove. I got it out from the top. You're a legend for doing it all by yourself! I opt out for the Racing Dynamics aluminum charge pipe which came with an aluminum boost pipe so I did both. Got the CTS intercooler and CTS inlet. Great video btw! Keep it up!

Haha yeah man it was a pain but that I had help from my brother. Took us about 10 minutes to get out. The worst part for me was taking that old intercooler out and getting the heavy new one back in by myself haha

Tip: get a blade and just cut the factory charge pipe then removing it is 10x easier

That’s honestly a good idea! If you can get it there with a small sharp blade and just slice around it. I probably should’ve done that haha

Good video bro. Going FBO soon and will be getting a new intercooler. I have the vrsf charge pipe but I'll wait to install with the new intercooler like you did. Hope my stock CP lasts till then lol. 🙏

...should've went the CP kit from Kies, which would've matched your (powder coated) intake & kept everything uniformed within the engine bay

Isn’t that one also like a textured black? Regardless tho I’m actually going to be waiting out my intake to an MST one which will match the charge pipe and the strut bar with that more textured black look. But you got a good point for sure!

Hey I can’t say for sure. I know some people have done a aluminum charge pipe and the dealership didn’t care but it depends. You can ask your service advisor just to be safe!

I mean not really lol. If I sold the 435i stock, I’d probably get 25k for it. For an M4 with the same miles and just as clean, it’ll cost me about 45k. So it’ll cost me about 20k out of pocket to get an M4. Whereas I can fully modify this 435i, make it faster than a stock M4 and have more fun modding it, for maybe around 10k. M4s are great though, one day I’ll get one after I get bored of the 435i
